Wandering Thoughts
July 4, 2004

My father just had me work on my brother's computer to add his Howlin' Oldies site to it. My father doesn't surf the Internet much but he found some music he enjoys and likes to listen to when working in the kitchen. As I was working on it, I started rolling and tossing this 20-sided die my brother has. It reminded me of a time in 10th grade history. Half the class was working the Special Olympics that day, so my teacher let the rest of the class do what they needed to do. Some worked on homework, some gossiped. And the rest, well, we played a history board game my teacher owned.

We had three teams, the guys, the girls, and more guys with a couple of girls on it. Logan and Brad Goodman, the kid I fought the most for test bonus points, were on the guys team. I was on the girls team with most of the girls in the magnet program, including Julie Davis (that girl was a trip with her bathroom door hangups). Nicki Peebles, I girl I wish I could have known better in high school, was on the mixed team. Logan had with him some of his gaming dice and we used one of the multifaceted dice instead of the standard board game dice. That was a fun day in class. *Laughing* The guys' team, at first was winning the game but my girls' team ended up winning the game. One of the guys fussed it was no fair because the girls had me. *Laughing* One of us girls quipped back that it was fair because they had Brad on their team. If anyone in the game was to be pitied, it was the mixed team, since they didn't have a Brad or a Shawn. Oh, I do have some sweet memories of my times at H.V. Jenkins High. *Smile*

I had a silly dream last night. I know the hype from Spider-Man 2 and seeing an ad for Collateral last night played into it. It took placed in the pet department of a Wal-Mart type store with the high ceiling with the open frames. It involved a Tom Cruise looking vampire. Not a Lestat looking vampire but it look more like Cruise in the Collateral sense. Not only was it a vampire, it was a vampire that had spider tendencies, like spinning his victims in a web. And that's what this vampire did in this dream. The vampire captured the characters I was dreaming through and was spinning me in the web about the pet department before I was rescued. However, the rest of the dream was spent worried if I was bitten and if I was now a vampire.

Goodness, I dream the strangest things at times. *Laughing*

I'm off to shower.
