Denise, I entered as a Superfan for Richard Marx for On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Not that expect to be picked but why the heck not? I have nothing to lose. And speaking of Richard, I'm still debating on the Dayton show. I'd love to go if I could meet Denise and Trish and meet up again with a few other fans. The only thing I wouldn't feel I'd have to do is meet Richard.
Not much else is going on with me. I should be reading Uncle Tom's Cabin but can't get myself into it. I'm not even 100 pages into it and my copy has nearly 500 pages. ![]()
My Atlanta Braves and Oakland A's lost last night.
I'm not really worried about the A's so much as I am the Braves. They are under .500. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays have a better record than the Braves. In fact, they are the hottest team in the MLB at the moment. But the Braves, I don't know what to think. Some days, they look like they are dogged determined to get to the post season. Other days, it's like it's a bother. They are usually floundering against the teams in the cellars. In a couple of hours, today's game against the Baltimore Orioles will be coming on. I hope we can win today. And the A's, well, I'm not sure what's wrong. I don't get to watch them that much.

I'd love to go to the show in Dayton and meet up with you all too (and I'm sure Barb and Tonya will probably be going) but as I said before, the price for tickets seems a little much!
Posted by: Dragon at June 26, 2004 3:50 PMTimre said they were $30 in 1998. I haven't found anything that said ticket prices for this show, yet. I figured at most they'll be $40.
Posted by: Shawn at June 26, 2004 4:14 PMYah but consider it would be both of us so it would be $80 for us to go.
Posted by: Dragon at June 26, 2004 10:22 PMI did the Superfan thing too. LOL! Not that I think I'll get it either... in fact, I seriously doubt any of "us" will get it. I'm not entirely familar with the show, but I've seen the Superfan thing before, and a lot of people I wouldn't exactly call deserving win.
I'd love to go to Dayton myself, but there's just no way. I'm still angleing for that NY/NJ area show ;)
Too bad about the Braves *sniff* I rarely get to watch a game anymore.
Now and Forever,
Liz
Even at $30 it would still be $60 for us both to go... Never know though. We might not even be in the area at the time. We don't have any plans yet.
Posted by: Dragon at June 28, 2004 12:45 AMUnless he comes close, I can't go. Period. $$$ and hubby say NO.
Braves - tonight on TBS Liz!
If I knew he was coming to Georgia, I do that in a heartbeat. I'm still not certain about going to Dayton. As for the $30.00 a ticket, that's how much I paid for the Macon show. It's a bargain compared to how much I paid for some *NSYNC tickets.
And Tamm, sounds like your Mr. Shelby needs a good whipping.
He treats you as a slave, not an equal.
Shawn,
You have a better chance than I would ever have to get picked for Superfan. I am so glad that you wrote in. I hope that your weekend went well. Take care and chat with you soon.
Sincerely,
~Denise~
Thanks, Denise. You have a good story, too. Maybe you'll get picked, if they have one, which I hope they do.
Yeah, well, ya'll only see me bitching about hubby, but if you saw him from your own view, you'd understand more and the truth of the matter is besides him not liking me driving many hours ALONE, we just don't have the money to travel out to Ohio (even though we'd have a place to stay free). That's the price to pay when you have new vehicles that cost more than your rent every month in loans!
Posted by: Tammtamm at June 29, 2004 7:14 AMWell, I understand the lack of money thing. And the traveling alone thing. I just don't like you feeling trapped. And with your gripes about him, that's how it's coming off to me.
Don't allow yourself to be trapped.
I have those days where I do feel trapped... at least now I'm becoming more aware of that feeling and I do try to do something about that whether it's go to a movie, do something for me... yada yada yada... but wow, I never thought that that's how I was coming across to others, Shawn. Thanks for your perspective on me!
Tamm
Posted by: Tammtamm at June 29, 2004 12:17 PMNot a problem. I'm glad you are doing things to make you not feel trapped.
I've just lucked in a home where my father repects my mother's wandering soul and it not threated by her traveling. Because I've grown up that way, I'm the type of adult that needs that type of situtation.
