My siblings spent the afternoon off in the heat having lunch and some ice cream. I'm paying a price for being out in the heat. ![]()
Except for the
hats I mentioned last night, the concert was a great show. I was very close to the stage for it being a general admission show. I had no trouble actually seeing the band.
It was the closest concert to Richard Marx-quality entertainment I've seen. The weather was very nice. It was clear and not raining! We ever had a breeze and I can't recall any bugs biting me.
97-3 Kiss FM took some pictures of the show. I don't know all of Train's songs but I know for sure they performed "She's On Fire," "Meet Virginia," "Free," "Drops Of Jupiter," "Calling All Angels," "All American Girl," "When I Look To The Sky," and "Ordinary." I think they might have performed "It's About You" and "Whipping Boy" but I'm not sure. I do wish they could have performed "Something More" as I enjoy that song. I now would like to one day get a copy of My Private Nation just for "When I Look To The Sky" because I wanted to cry as Pat was singing it. It's much more powerful live.
Before the concert, Dylan of Z102 made a few announcements before introducing The Graham Colton Band. One of the sponsors of the Army tour part of Train's tour is AAFES. I take Dylan has no clue what AAFES is. As he was naming them as a sponsor, he spelled it out. Being the military brat that I am, every person I know that those that has ever dealt with AAFES pronounce it "afees." It's funny how we notice these things that shows the big differences in the military world and civilian world.
As for The Graham Colton Band, they were a good opening act.
Matthew enjoyed them, which is saying something.
By the way, I did go to school today, even after getting home late from that concert. The History test I took the other day, I made an 100 on.
Believe it or not, I didn't really worry about that test. And during class today, the professor brought up that most presidents at the turn of the century 1900 had their own scandals, too. He remarked today about me mentioning one of the scandal jingles from Grover Cleveland's turns in the White House the other day in class. ![]()
And finally, my VERY late Thursday Threesome - Things that go bump in the night:
Onesome: Things that go- What's the strangest contraption you've ever had to use to get from point A to point B? Those dang compasses. I can't stand those things.
Twosome: Bump- Have you ever hurt yourself doing something you weren't supposed to be doing? All the time. ![]()
Threesome: In the night- Do you believe in things that go bump in the night or anything supernatural? Don't get me obsessing over aliens, ok? ![]()
