Onesome: School-- Since the school year seems to be over (your mileage may vary: some of you are already in summer sessions!): what was your favorite year in school? Yeah, the one you had the best time in or learned something special or had that learning breakthrough?
School was basically a hell for me. Let's see
Maybe the Tupac story or the boring awards ceremony I had to sit through in 10th grade. The only reason that boring night's in my mind it some how, he (of my famed stories of such as the Tupac one and other miscellaneous high school stories
) was sitting about 3 seats down from me. He, I, and the three kids in between us spent the whole night joking about the dumb awards, until his family made him leave. That's my high school time. My favorite time of school had to be summer school of 1991. It was optional and it was fun. the summer school class was anthropology. It was for the gifted students only. Probably the only time in moving around I got to do something I deserve. We even went on a few field trips, including one to Town Creek Indian Mound. I had good times, really, during school. ti was the feeling like a big joke that makes me want to forget it.
Twosome: Bus-- Hey, how did you get to school in the early years? Walk? Bike? Mommy van? Bus? ...and for those still attending, how are you getting to and fro these days? I drive myself now. It was carpooling during my St. Mary's days. My mother's taken me since except for half of my 7th grade year. All of 8th grade, my 9th grade time in North Carolina, and mornings at Jenkins. I'd walk to Jenkins. I tried walking when at Irwin but it never panned out.
Threesome: Stop-- ...and when did you stop going to school? ...or did you? Are you still at it? Any plans to go back for those who are out of the system? Let see, it's very sticky. I'll just say at the moment, I'm back in school and finally enjoying it.
