I had to dress up for school today!
I know, weird, isn't it? My mother bought me some clothes at Cato the other day for Matthew's graduation and I wore that. It's a nice little outfit. I wore it because I needed to go to the Writing Center today. I inquired about that job my Civ. I professor asked me to get. The lady in charge of the office was nice. She didn't know my name but she remembered talking to my Civ. I professor about encouraging me to get a job. The paperwork asks for two professor recommendations, one being an English professor, but since my Civ. I professor recommended me, I don't need the English professor requirement. I also need to take in some samples of my writing. Guess I'm going to have to dig around for a notebook.
Even if I get a job, I probably wouldn't get one until the Fall.
In History 2112 class, as my professor was taking role today, he asked to speak to me after class. He told me he didn't want me bored.
Why? Because a majority of the material he will be covering at the moment he had covered last semester in History 1100. I told him I wouldn't be bored. I guess I should take my notes from 1100 to school tomorrow. I signed up for 2112 because I wanted to explore more than just political history. I'm sure we'll get more into that but at the moment, in Reconstruction America, it's all about politics.
Ethics was ok. It's mainly a discussion class. I have to do some reading for it tonight. One of the few guys in my class (yes, I said few. We only have 4 guys in it) said he worked in the computer field for over 20 years and tired of it. He's a nursing student now. I think he was trying to turn me off of it. I just want my degree in something. And, I plan on minoring in history. Worst comes to worst, I'll have to go back to school to get another degree.
This afternoon, I thought my other had forgotten her check card while she went out for lunch. I ten mintue trip to return her card and get some toliet paper turned into a two hour trip dining and shopping. Let me just say it's hot outside.
Finally for this post, I leave you with a Atlanta Braves article: Green makes splash. Careful, you might have to login to read it.
It's an introduction of Green to the Braves faithful.
