The faint of heart being Misbah.
I know she loves her Nicholas Sparks books.
The other day while at the theater, I saw a trailer for The Notebook. Nicki spoke of it about a month ago and stated she wanted to see it since it stars Ryan Gosling in it. She also knew I have a copy of the book the movie is based on. She wanted to read the book before the seeing the movie, which comes on on the 25th. I don't know if she'll get around to it.
I'm looking at the movie's website and I already see one problem in just the names of the characters alone. In the book, the main female lead's, "Allie," last name is different. In the book, her last name is "Nelson." In the movie, it's "Hamilton." The movie drops the E from "Allie's" mother's name. The location of the book is in New Bern, NC. By the way, they don't even spell the town correctly on the movie's website.
"Allie" is from Raleigh, NC. The movie takes place in Seabrook with "Allie" from Charleston, SC. The James Gardner "Noah" goes by the name of "Duke," which is a name he refers to himself as in the book. "Noah" is 19 in the movie when he meets a 17-year-old "Allie," so that's something else that transferred correctly from the movie.
I'm also trying to figure out who the characters "John Hamilton," and "Martha Shaw" are. Is "John Hamilton" supposed to be "Morris Goldman?" Is "Martha Shaw" the waitress "Noah" once dated?" I just can't remember these names from the book. I'll have to go see the movie, I guess, to find out who these people are.
