I have to admit, I am not my chipper self at the moment. Blame the poem I chose for my English exam. It's called "Dogs" by Ronald Wallace. It was pretty depressing in my eyes. It's about a guy that accidentally kills a dog when he is 6 and dogs punish him the rest of his life. I wanted to cry at one point during the exam but held back the tears. I can't even remember what I wrote about the poem. Probably crap.
I'll probably get a B out of English, which is fine by me. Also on this exams, he had to write an essay on Oedipus Rex, which I think I bombed, and a few IDs on phrases from the two Flannery O'Connor stories we had to read. My IDs were short but I hope to the point. I was not going to write a page about Red Sammy's Barbecue.
That's all for now. I need to get that poem off my mind.

The poem thing reminds me of my AP English exam. It was about a toad that got run over by a lawn mower and lay there dying. Most people thought it was sarcastic, but I was horrified. I though for sure I wouldn't get higher than a 3 for writing about how sorry the author felt for a toad. Instead, I got a 5. So you never know...maybe you'll get an A+ and have the best exam ever.
Posted by: Chewie at April 30, 2004 2:11 PMI hope I wrote enough to get an A. That would be nice. But I'm not betting on it.
Four more!
You see if you were at the big university down the road you'd be done by now.

Well, at least I only have one exam a day.
