Homework: I'm working on my History 1100 homework. I answered the questions while in Augusta but I have to type up the answers.
Afterwards, I need to work on some homework from today's classes.
Road Geekiness: I took pictures of road signs on the Augusta trip. I sent them to GribbleNation.com. They have an extensive collection of road signs. My pictures are probably crap next to the others but I was just learning how to take a "still" shot as I'm going down at the road at 60 MPH an hour. I just sent them today so it might take a couple of days before they are posted.
Murder: First, yes, I was in 1st & 2nd grade with the killer mentioned in the prior post. The Augusta Chronicle said he graduated from Aquinas High School. Many St. Mary's students attended Aquinas for high school and in my days at St. Mary's, our field day took place on Aquinas's lawn. I really don't remember him very well. I remember his name a few things but not much at all. However, I never would have thought of him as a killer. What the hell was he thinking?
Second, it's been a year since Ashleigh Moore disappeared and later found killed. There has been no justice proclaimed in her name, yet. I still think about her from time to time. I hope one day her family will finally get some justice in her name. Damn shame she was killed and I hope her killer pays the full price.
And finally, Tweaking :I've got some more tweaking to do to my site. I need to edit my .htaccess to limit some spiders. Most of my traffic comes from spiders and frankly, I'm sick of it. Also, a new version of MT-Blacklist is out. I need to upgrade. And finally, I need to update my Pepys Project link since it's changing. I still want to be a part of it.
That's it for now.

Hmmmm...sounds familiar. I was eating dinner at a friend's house and we were watching the news. Up pops a photograph of a guy who went to my high school (was in the homecoming court, very popular, and got a full-ride to college) in an orange police coverall. He'd been arrested for armed robbery at our local Dominos and is now in jail, dreams busted. It was strange seeing him on tv.
Another guy, with whom I graduated (I think he graduated) participated in a gang murder...drive-by shooting, I think. Cops were looking for him and he was living across the street from that same friend's house, when he went to go turn himself in. That's the short version of the story.
Weird to see how people turn out....some of our better students really didn't turn out to much (I know of another who drank herself out of college...guess she wasn't so smart afterall).
Posted by: Chewie at April 19, 2004 5:45 PMYes, it's weird to see how these people turned out. I wonder what they would think of me.
As I said before... Makes me wonder what some of the kids I went to grade school with and even middle and high school are up to now...
Posted by: Dragon at April 20, 2004 12:32 AMI hate to say it, Trish, but this stuff I learned this weekend has made me appreciate my life for what it is. I am not at rock bottom.
Posted by: Shawn at April 20, 2004 11:07 AMI'd admit, I am a bit curious as to what happened to people I went to high school with (not so much college, they're all in grad school like I am). The only news I hear about is when my mom makes an offhand remark about bumping into so-and-so's mother who commences to spew about their darling's current achievements. Besides not being at rock bottom, you're lucky you don't have to be viewed as competition. If only we could all strive for some sort of balance...
Posted by: sya at April 20, 2004 10:36 PMOh, I hate that. My sister got mad at my mother for telling us all about Nancy's daugther Christy and all her accompliments in school. After a few spats, my mother got the picture.
