'Gettin' Some Sleep In Does A Body Good.
April 7, 2004

I took a nap as soon as I could once I got home from school. I needed it. I had a headache carrying over from yesterday's dialation. I think I'm finally over the effects of it.

School was fine. I had a quiz in Civ. on a few chapters from Machiavelli's The Prince. I didn't blow it all but I did master it. I'm not worried about it. We spent the rest of class discussing these chapters. After that class ended, I ran into my English professor onto the way to English and we discussed the glasses versus contacts debate. We have the same view that contacts are better if you want to wear different sunglasses. As for class, we got into groups to go over parts of Oedipus Rex in groups and then in front of the class, we paraphrased it. And in CS, we got back our test papers from Friday's test. I got a 99. The loss of one point was due to me crossing out a lot of code in one problem. I'm not going to dispute it. Next Friday, we get a 15 point make up quiz for the test since the rest of the class did poorly on it. Tomorrow, we start the final section we have to go over in History 1100 and I have another Psychology test. :yuck: I can't stand much more of Psychology.

All this week is an all-campus read week devoted to the works of Flannery O'Connor. Tomorrow, there will be a one-woman show, "Flannery O'Connor: In Her Own Words" by Beverly Fatheree. I'll be going to that since I can get some extra credit on it. Then Friday, I'll be going to O'Connor's childhood home after classes. It's downtown but the school will provide transportation. I'll be taking the digital camera to it in hopes of getting a few pictures. My English professor was excited to hear me ask if I could bring a camera.

Finally, a little meme I snatched from Christine:

[Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says] "…know who she was.  Everyone knew her—it was…" From A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks.

[Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?] The bookcase next to my desk.

[What is the last thing you watched on TV?] The local news.

[With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?] NBC Nightly News. Which reminds me, I need to change to Fox Sports Net.

[When did you last step outside?] A little after noon stepping out of my car to come in the house.

[Before you came to this website, what did you look at?] The PHKL archive page at Big Pink Cookie.

[What are you wearing?] Some gray lounge pants and old purple pajama top.

[Did you dream last night?] No. :(

[When did you last laugh?] Probably this morning in school.

[What is on the walls of the room you are in?] Not much. A stuffed animal net and a small curio shelf with toy dishes in it.

[Seen anything weird lately?] No.

[What do you think of this quiz?] It's funny.

[What is the last movie you saw?] Chasing Liberty

[If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?] A big dinner.

[Tell me something about you that I don't know:] The song I'm listening to, "I'm Loving Every Moment With You" by Céline Dion, reminds me of my almost-first boyfriend, Ryan.

[If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?] There would be a lot I would want to do to improve the world. But first, I'd capture Osama and get that quack job out of EVERYONE's life.

[Do you like to dance?] I have two left feet.

[George Bush:] He has his fault, like the rest of us.

[Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?] Amelia, after Amelia Earhart. My grandmother gave me a book about her when I was a child. The book is long gone but I enjoyed it.

[Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?] I don't know. Too many guy names on the brain. :ohyeah:

[Would you ever consider living abroad?] It would depend on where we would be moving.

[Listening to: " Where Does My Heart Beat Now " - Céline Dion ]
