Maroon 5 will be performing at my school, Armstrong Atlantic State University, on May 6th, the last day of finals. Tickets for the concert went on sale yesterday but I wasn't able to get tickets until this morning around 8:30 AM. The school set a limit on 2 per student ID. Dumb me thought 2 per student for the price of $15.00 Anymore, you had to pay $20.00. No, 2 tickets and that's it.
I needed 4 tickets and was willing to pay for 4 tickets. The student that sold me my allotted tickets told me the allotment the Civic Center had for the general public was sold out. My only options were to use another student ID or wait and try to get some at the door the day of show. Waiting for the day of the show was not an option. Thankfully, another student in my Civ. 1 class heard of my plight when I was asking to borrow a cell phone to discuss about my options to gain 2 additional tickets. She met me at noon after our classes were over and used her ID to get me the other two tickets. She's not interested in Maroon 5.
However, time is running out for getting your Maroon 5 tickets for the Savannah show. Looks like this is going to be something. I'm happy I got my tickets. It's not often an act as well known as them comes to Savannah and the fact it's at my school makes it even more sweet.
The rest of school went by fine. Civ. was spent talking about the Crusades. After last night's Meroko fiasco, I didn't have time to do my all my history homework. I had a good topic for the reading response I could have done, too. I was going to title it "We're All Infidels!" English class again was spent working on subjects to make our poetry projects strong. I think I know what I can do this weekend to fix it all and make it at least a C.
I'm just joking. It should be higher, hopefully. The biography is nice, in my eyes, and the extras should rock. And for CS, I had a test on subprograms and arrays. I don't feel too strong about it but I did my best and know I didn't bomb it. I'm not going to fret about it because I have perfect scores on my homework and lab assignments, which will help my grade if I didn't too well on it.
Let me update you on Meroko (a/k/a Mokey). After my mother found Meroko yesterday, she called the vet. Meroko was the only cat in the house that was not fixed. This morning, Nicki took Mokey to the vet and she was fixed this morning. She will be coming home after 4 PM. I hope this will calm her down and mellow her out. I also bet you are wondering about the Mokey name. It's a nickname my father gave the cat because he does like her. My father, my mother, and I think she likes Mokey but she doesn't like Meroko. Nicki won't change her name and can't stand Mokey. She doesn't like her cat being named after "a depressed Fraggle."
Dang I could blab at this moment but I won't. I enjoyed last night's "Survivor" and think Rob's feeling for Amber are real. He wants the money but was willing to do what he had to to make sure she stayed in the game. Very interesting. And tonight, I get to watch baseball
! Ever thrilled about the Boston Red Sox/Atlanta Braves exhibition game on TBS tonight. About time the boys of summer returned. ![]()

Meroko probably responds more quickly to Mokey because of the "e" sound at the end. Studies have shown that cats respond more quickly when they have a two syllable name ending with an "e" sound.
Hence: Gracie, Callie, Emmie, Muffy, Sadie, Poochie, Sassy, Tassy, & Potty. (My family is obsessed, dogs include Daisy, Trixie, & Mitzi, while hamsters include: Tuffy, Teddy, and Sophie).

Only Scooter and Pikachu are the other cats without a "y"/"ie" name but we call them Scootie and Pikie most of the time. they will also respond to their full names. Meroko just might be weird but at least gettign her fixed will help.
