But not last night!
I actually caught the tail end of Atlanta Braves spring training game. It was nothing nothing against the Cleveland Indians in the 6th, where I caught it. The Braves turned it into a blowout in the 7th However, Cox put in Antonio Alfonseca in to pitch the 9th. He got out of the inning with the Braves winning the game but it was a struggle. The score at the end was 7-2. I know I haven't paid too much attention to my team lately but Alfonseca scares me. While I'm sad to see Andy Pratt gone for the Chicago Cubs' Juan Cruz and Jung Keun Bong and Bubba Nelson traded for the Cincinnati Reds' Chris Reitsma, I'm glad we got some solid pitching compared to hopefully keep us from having to use Alfonseca. Alfonseca is the 2004 Albie Lopez on the Braves. I'm still trying to figure out the Albie Lopez signing. ![]()
And onto non-baseball news:
Yesterday's school classes we OK. We did the peer review on the Charlemagne papers. After class ended, a good title popped into my brain to use. I'll have to make some minor adjustments to it prior to turning it in. I got my bibliography back for my Lux paper. I got a B+++ on it. She told me to check my sources. I only question one of her comments since I did find the actual hard copy of an article online and cited the hard copy. At least she said I had good sources. I'm going to have to work on something dealing with this project later today.
As for summer school, I've decided not to do it. I really want to take school in the summer. However, my mother is planning a trip to Texas and New Mexico this summer for a Chatty Cathy convention. It's smack dab in the middle of summer school.
I really want to go on this trip since I have been on a long long-distance trip since 1999 when we evacuated for Hurricane Floyd. All the other trips I've made have been short weekend jaunts. Of the classes I want to take, I guess I could talk to the professors that will be teaching them and ask what their absent policy is. And there is a PE course that's an online course.
I could take that class this summer. There is also a bowling course I can take on Fridays. I'll figure it all out, somehow. Once my mother gets home, I'll discuss it with her. Being an adult sucks! I might be able to do it all. ![]()
And finally, before I get off to watch the Atlanta Braves/New York Mets spring training game, if you use the the Textism Refer script, here's a hack to not record referrals by IP address and user agents: BotWhack 1.0. One day after I finish up my IT courses, I'll be able to write my own little tweaking scripts for my own use. At least I try to understand those I didn't create.
