Mutant Woodpecker
March 16, 2004

The neighborhood's mutant woodpecker.

Living where I live, it's not uncommon to see a woodpecker on our trees once in a while. This morning while I was asleep, my mother took a picture of this woodpecker. I think this is the Big Boy that hangs around from time to time. He's the biggest woodpecker I've ever seen and he's huge. He could rival some of our cats with his size.

As for Day#2 of Spring Break? It was spent doing exactly what I promised my mother what I do for her when I finally got on it. I'm working on her website, DonnasChattys.com. None of the work I did so far is uploaded, but I hope to have it all uploaded tonight so she can "officially" open it. *Laughing* At the moment, I'm taking a break. My mother is busy making dinner at the moment but I need her help with telling me what page to locate this last photo at. After that, she gets to proofread! *Smile* Then, I will do the uploading and she can brag to all her Chatty Cathy friends about the site.

She's all the time wanting to update it. Except, it's all massive updating, which gets to me. *Sigh* I told her I'll limit her to one doll a day to work on. That way, she gets it updated and I won't feel overwhelmed with doing the work.

Finally, a quiz I snarfed from Nicki. She was the Danger Mouse fan, not me. I preferred the short, Bananaman. *Laughing* However, both of us would watch both with our father when we were children.

I got the cute psycho bunny too LOL! I understand about the web sites... It's so much easier to update bit by bit smaller stuff then have to redo almost a whole page. I have pictures I need to put up on the page I run but haven't gotten around to it yet. Really should do that but making the damn thumb nails and getting it to save right is such a pain in the ass!

Nicki loves Happy Bunny and kids me that it's perfect for me.

Unless you have worked on a site, you just don't appreciate the hard work that goes behind it. However, hard work doesn't get you off the hook for bad design. Why do the work if the site doesn't look good?

Exactly. That's why I made all my backgrounds and most of the links.. Got some cool drop down menu things etc... Mine is plain but that's what they wanted. This is for "older" people and most of them don't have the web knowlege we do so it had to be easy, simple and easy on the eyes...
