I Long To Smell C
February 20, 2004

First Bloom of '04

This is a snap shot of an azalea in our side yard. Today, the temp is around 70ºF today. Maybe a bit more. I had the A/C on in the car on my way home. *Laughing* It's to get a bit cooler this weekend but before we know it, it will be hot in Savannah again. While on my way home, I wanted to smell chlorine. Well, not really since I know it would kill me. I really wanted to smell some pool water. Until a decade ago, my summers were spent swimming at Grandma's and Grandpa's while visiting Nashville in the summer or going every day to Allen Pool when I lived on Ft. Bragg. I have decided that I will take a swimming course this summer. *Laughing* I need the exercise and I enjoy the pool. *Smile*

I just want to stop and thank everyone that has participated in Hi, My Name Is ______________! (#5). *Hugs* I have enjoyed reading the answers and even think it's interesting to see similar memes cropping up on other blogs. *Smile* Also, I apologize for part of my A Sponge Of Useless Information post. I wasn't myself when I wrote it. I was doped up on female hormones. That's all I'll say. *Wink*

The big news here in town is that a disagreement between city council and the Savannah Waterfront Association has canceled the of St. Patrick's Day gated festival. That's when people pay for a wrist band to get drunk on River Street legally during the big party we have each year. People are still probably coming to party but instead of peeing in the Port-A-Potties, they'll be peeing in the river. Also, they have to get their beer at bars instead of on the street. Personally, I think the SWA are being big babies about this but that's typical Savannah politics for you.

School was OK today. I had a test in Civ. I. I didn't get a chance to study all too well last night as I had to take my brother to the manga club Nicki is starting at her job. Maybe this will be the test that I'll have to replace with my final? English class was spent talking some more about "The Life You Save May Be Your Own." Today's topic was salvation. In CSCI, my professor's computer didn't work so she couldn't use Power Point. Then, she had to rush out of class so she wouldn't be late for the Math Club meeting that's on the other side of the campus. She introduced us to the while loop today. *Smile*

Not much else here. Beth and her friends are waiting for the computer. I'm posting from the Gateway since it's the best computer to download digital pictures onto it. Beth is having a party later tonight here at home and I don't know how many people she invited to it. *Sigh* Good thing my parents are here and they aren't going to allow stuff to happen. Thank goodness I do have semi-strict parents. They aren't tyrants but they haven't raised us to be urchins like many parents seem to do these days.

Mmmm. The sweet smell of chlorine. It's funny that I long for it so much, too. Especially considering I live like 5 minutes from the oceanfront. Je deteste saltwater.

Love the shamrocks!!

Oh, I'm glad the St. Patrick's day theme is going over well!

I live 20 miles from a beach. I don't bother to go at all. Je déteste le saltwalter, aussi.

Been nice here too the last couple days. Went to the driving range yesterday(and didn't do too bad) but as with any good thing (like the onset of Spring and nice temps) there are the down sides. We have this "garage band" in the neighborhood somewhere and I can't even open my windows and enjoy the nice fresh air without having to hear those idiots... Wouldn't be so bad but THEY SUCK!! That's one thing I am NOT looking forward to with the warmer temps... Assholes and their loud music... That and bugs... I hate bugs!!
