A Lot Accomplished This Weekend.
February 15, 2004

Wow. I'm actually sitting down for fun! *Laughing* Yesterday was spent relaxing surfing the computer and playing SNES. Plus, I did some work on my Hist. 1100 assignment due Thursday. Today, I spent time washing my clothes, washing my sheets, reading for tomorrow's Civ. class, working on part of my Hist. 1100 assignment and reading part chapter 8 for that class on Tuesday. Mix into that time, I played a bit more of SNES, surfed the web, watched part of the Daytona 500 with my father, and went to the store to buy some dinner. Whew! *Laughing* I have been busy. Well, guess I should take a break.

I must say that hopefully all the work I put into school will pay off. I'm not going to kill myself for it. *Laughing* I'm already decided what classes to take in the summer. Nothing I want to take in the summer really is being offered. Boring classes I don't really want to take are. I'm going to have to take some boring classes, then. *Laughing* I guess it's best to take in the summer as it is a shorter session. Another problem I'm running into would be the dreaded science sequence I must take for a degree. I've been looking into the fall schedule, too. A science lab is required once a week for any science sequence that you do take. However, the times they are offered seem to conflict with any other class I need to take. *Sigh* No fun scheduling classes, is it?

For you baseball *Play Ball!* fans, it seems the New York Yankees have traded Alfonso Soriano for Alex Rodriguez. If this trade goes through, it is disgusting. Are the Yankees ever going to stop? Will this article by The Onion last year, "Yankees Ensure 2003 Pennant By Signing Every Player In Baseball," come true in the future? However, I am not going to worry about it. After all, the Yankees haven't won a World Series since 2000. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Anaheim Angels, and the Florida Marlins have won it. *Laughing* Besides, the Yankees lost two of those Series. Just because they have all these superstars doesn't mean they will win. Gary Sheffield was with the Atlanta Braves the past two seasons and played poorly in the postseason. Jason Giambi and Bernie Williams are getting old and breaking down. Andy Pettite and Roger Clemens are gone. The Yankees may look great on paper. Remember last year that the Marlins didn't really look good on paper at this time. Yet, we all know who won the 2003 World Series. You don't play baseball on paper. You play it on the field. No one should crown the Yankees as winners until they win 4 World Series games this October.

Speaking of baseball *Play Ball!*, Spring Training began this weekend with the Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Glad baseball will be starting soon. I've been missing it. *Big Grin*

Wanna come do my laundry too? Travis started it but seems the white clothes have been sitting in the dryer for about half an hour now AFTER the buzzer went off... Ugh... Shoulda known better then to buy a PS2... He gets side tracked very easily now.

Hey, I have to go to school today! I don't get today off like other people.

Whee lab! Does your school require the lab to be a particular subject? I know a lot of schools require it to be a chemistry lab. The coolest lab I got to take as an undergrad was a neurobiology lab involving brain dissections.

The IT degree here at Armstrong requires you take a one sequence of science. The student can choose from biology, chemisty, and physics. The sequence consist of two semesters of lecture equaling 6 credit hours and two semesters of lab equaling 2 credit hours. I'm probably going to take chemistry as my neighbor across the street can assist me. She has a degree in some chemical field. So does my sister's roommate. My brother is thinking of being an engineer. For that degree, he will have to take physics and chemistry.
