Some interesting articles about the Jackson boob flap: Apologetic Jackson says 'costume reveal' went awry. And if you still think it was an accident, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. TiVo: Jackson stunt most replayed moment ever. Everyone was watching it again to make sure the boob they envisioned was in fact a boob. Also, Report: CBS May Can Janet, Justin From Grammys. Are they punishing Janet and Justin or is this what the people want? We may never know.
And that's it about the boob. It was something that didn't need to be on CBS at that time of the day, however, it needs to die. Fine the stations if you must but let's do it quietly. It's already old. ![]()
"Wardrobe malfunction" has already integrated into the lexicon. This morning on Good Morning America, Diane Sawyer was opening her purse. It wasn't opening as smoothly as she had hope. She remarked she was having a purse malfunction.
Justin, look what you have started!
Classes today were fine. I got a 97 on my Hist. 1100 test.
I'm a bit disappointed I didn't do better but then again, a lot of people didn't do that well. For English tomorrow, I have to have something proving I've worked on the essay, even if they are scratch notes. I guess I should work on it a bit more today. I wrote about a page of crap yesterday. She told us not to write crap but I figures I'd start with crap and filter out the good stuff.

haha, we discussed the boob liberation at practice today! in fact the conversation took up our entire warmup time!
Posted by: misbah kyrene at February 3, 2004 3:37 PMSeems to be the talk around the water cooler and will be for some time. I don't really think they should take Justin off the Grammy's. Janet maybe but he only did what she asked him to do. It was her idea and her "malfunction". I really don't think either of them should be taken off. It may have been done on purpose but the extent was by accident(so Janet says). I don't know. I still think they are making too big a deal about 1 second of floppy skin plopping out... The proverbial making mountains out of mole hills... *snicker* (Oh come on... that was funny!)
Posted by: Dragon at February 3, 2004 6:03 PMI'm not too involved in politics but thank goodness for the primaries! No boob at the moment.
The problem isn't so much the boob itself but what it crossed. Many people were watching this program with their familes and children. They weren't expecting to see a boob on network television. Many people think of network television as one of the few places left on TV that is somewhat still sanitized. Had the boob been flopped on MTV instead of CBS, it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
You know what? I'm so sick of Janet's boob!
Posted by: Shawn at February 3, 2004 8:12 PMYeah I'm a little tired of hearing about it myself. WHO GIVES A FLYING CRAP!? Oye... You'd think they could find something better to talk about.
Posted by: Dragon at February 3, 2004 11:02 PMThe main reason it bothered me was that it took away from what the whole event was supposed to be about...the game.
Fortunately, we here in New England didn't have to suffer through much of this coverage (or lack thereof, I should say
)...mainly because the Pats won the game. None of the local reporters really talked about this thing at all.
Christine, you were lucky! The boob was EVERYWHERE! They are STILL talking about the boob.
