Yesterday was a relaxing day for me. I just sat around the house, really. No, I take that back. I practiced driving my father's truck by taking someone out to Nicki while she was at work. I don't really like driving my father's truck but it's nice to know I can drive it if I have to use it. There was an accident on White Bluff on my way home so I had to make a U-turn in the truck.
Go me!
Speaking of my sister, she stopped at home after work. She wanted to do her taxes and was hoping to get a nice refund. I calculated her taxes online but didn't file them, yet. Instead of getting a nice refund, she owes about $360 to the IRS.
Good news is she has $7 coming back to her from Georgia. She was heartbroken and angry. How did this happen to her? Well, my mother pulled out some of her pay stubs and looked at the taxes. She had state taxes taken from her pay but hardly any federal taxes. I pulled out some of my old W-2's to compare my taxes to her. Yes, there was a clear difference in the amount of taxes I paid and she paid. We're chucking this one up to live and learn. She's going to go to work and make sure taxes are taken from her pay instead of having to owe the IRS again next year.
And speaking of chucking, well, seems my brother is not feeling well. My family had homemade Philly cheesesteak sandwiches last night, except Nicki and I. We had chicken sandwiches. Well, Matthew's stomach and his sandwich didn't agree with each other. My mother told me that this morning she had to clean the bathroom after him. Poor kid. That is never fun. I can't remember the last time that happened to me but every time I feel nauseous, I pray that my stomach settles down.
I guess I should get off this and read a bit more for school. I did my CSCI 1060 homework last night and this morning, read Chapter 5 for History 1100. I have to read for Civ. I and could probably write a few more notes for that English paper.
Psych reading can wait until tomorrow. Later, Nicki's coming back over and we'll all be watching the Super Bowl. Again, I'm rooting for the Carolina Panthers. Good thing I'm not a betting person.
Not that I have the money to wager a bet.
One day, I'll be out of debt.
Oh, who I'm I kidding. I'm living the American way!
