I need to keep that in mind when it comes to school. I shouldn't let it stress me out. I also need to remember that B's are good. Many people would love just to have a B average. However, I don't think I'm going to take 15 hours of class in a semester anymore.
12 is full time and that should do me for a while.
This morning before school, I had Today on my TV. One of the articles brought up was about blogs. It was horrifying to hear Katie Couric and Matt Lauer discuss about blogs as if they knew about for a long time when, clearly, they had no clue. Matt was talking to Emily Nussbaum about her New York Times Magazine article, "My So-Called Blog." You can watch the clip at MSNBC.com. I just finished reading the article. It mainly concerns about teens, their blogging habits, and how it forms their personalities. It mentions that teens blog at places like Live Journal and Xanga.
I'm going to quickly reply to my e-mail and then take a nap. ![]()

I would comment on this but it is taking so freakin' long to get a download that I have to wait until later. And I'm on a T3 line!
Posted by: Michael at January 13, 2004 3:57 PMSo was the article for or against blogs? Did they "diss" them or "prop" them? I guess I could read it but I'm feeling highly lazy right now LOL!!
Posted by: Dragon at January 14, 2004 12:37 AMWell I was able to read the first part but when I clicked on the "read more here" thing it wanted me to register and all.. Interesting article though. Emily N. was majorly riding the fence. Half the time she seemed all for it and other times like it was a travisty in our society... And then there were times I wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or if she actually meant what she was saying... Wish I could read the end of it but I'm not registering just for that!
Posted by: Dragon at January 14, 2004 12:45 AMTrish, register for an account. It's free and you never know when you want to read something else in the Times.
Ms. Nussbaum is pretty much like that the whole article. In fact, many articles I read about blogging, it's as if they just can't get the concept and it's weird.
Well either they can't get the concept or they can't decide whether or not it's a good thing for teens and all to be so open or if it's just inviting trouble. Like that one guy she talked to. She was expecting a chubby kid with pimples etc and here he wasn't anything like that. He was a prime example most nay sayers would use to "prove" it's not good and it's dangerous cause you never know who your REALLY reading about or talking to. Which I agree with. How do we know half these people we read are who they say they are? Unless we've met them in person, we don't. Anyway, I think it's going to be one of those issues that is never resolved like IM and chat rooms..
Posted by: Dragon at January 15, 2004 3:34 AMTrue, you don't know what who you are deling with, most of the time. With strangers, you should always take them with a grain of salt.
Posted by: Shawn at January 15, 2004 3:09 PMOh yeah, I'm chanting that in my head right now too: "Only have to go till June... only till June... only till June..." And I'm also trying to remember B's are good, but it's really not working!
Sometimes being a perfectionist is way too hard.
Ugh, The B mantra is all I have this semester, as I enrolled in five classes. Good luck!

That's definately not good!
