Bad Day
January 12, 2004

I'm having a really bad day. *Banging My Head Against The Wall* How bad? I just deleted my Charleston entry and is now in the process in trying to restore the comments to it.

I'd post more but I'm going crazy. *Crazy*

Updated 1:58 PM 1/12/04 - I recovered the deleted entry and comments that weren't mine since I still had them available to me. *Sigh* I do have to say I *Love* love going into the MySQL database and being able to correct mistakes in it.

As for school today, it was OK. I got back a paper in Civ. I turned in Friday. I got a 9 on it, which is an A. However, there was a mention that I needed to bring up women. *Banging My Head Against The Wall*

What a coup for the *Play Ball!* Houston Astros: Rocket relaunch: Clemens to pitch for Astros. That is one scary prospect in the National League. I wonder who is going to be their opening day pitcher now? *Laughing*

Congrats on your A and getting your entry back. I had a moment like that last night. I meant to "save as" so I could keep the original version and the newer one and accidently hit "save" instead. Unlike you though, I wasn't able to get back the original so now I gotta redo the whole thing whenever I feel like it. LOL

My gawd, he won't go away, will he? I'm sorry, but I hate him because he left the Sox and eventually became a Y*****.

Once you leave the Red Sox and don the Evil Pinstripes, redemption is pretty much a lost cause.

The A is just a minor one. We have to turn in 10 of these things over the course. I'll be happy if I just make 9's all across the board on them.

Christine, the interesting thing about Clemens signing with Houston in not just their aquisition of him but the Yankees losing 3/5 of their starting rotation. The Yankees felt Gary Sheffield was more of a priority than Andy Pettitte. Andy goes and signs with his hometown team because the Yankees aren't really trying to keep him (among other issues). Losing Andy doesn't look like much at first in the Yankees' point of view until everyone starts wanting Roger on the Astros, too. Next thing we know, Roger decides to come back and plays for the one team that really can give him the perks of being retired yet still playing baseball (and with his best friend from the Yankees, to boot, that also happens to be from the Houston area). Roger probably would have stayed retired if Andy returned to the Yankees.

Many Yankee fans are furious over Clemens joining Pettitte in Houston. However, if you glance over the Boston boards, some fans are giddy about the Yankees being spurned. It's like "I told you" so is spreading.

And let's not forget David Wells in this matter. In 2001, he verbally agreed to sign with the Diamondbacks. Just as the Diamondbacks were ready to finalize the deal, Wells signs with the Yankees. This offseason, the Yankees were all ready to sign Wells to a minior-league contract (they had a verbal agreement) and BOOM! He goes and signs with the Padres for a major-league one. It's as if the Yankees didn't bother to learn from history!
