I'm A Sneak.
January 9, 2004

*Laughing* My mother isn't home at the moment so I'm on her computer with 192MB of RAM. *Laughing* Actually, I needed to complete the set up work on the computer. It's temporarily loacted in the dining room.

So since she's not here and the computer is freed, I'll be using it. I like this computer. I might be able to do some school work on it.

I saw my first movie for 2004. Beth wanted to see Peter Pan with a boy. She's got all these boys that are friends. Any way, my mother asked me to take her and while I was out on that side of town, she told me to see one, too. That way we wouldn't have to double trek. *Sigh* So once I got out there, I ended up choosing the Mandy Moore vehicle, Chasing Liberty.

I enjoyed it. Mandy seems the most level headed of the pop princesses. She's not a saint but she's not pretending to be but she's not dirty and crude. She's just a young woman. This is the second movie she's in that I have seen. She might not be the best actress out there but she can act.

I don't want to give away the plot for Chasing Liberty but it was a very good movie. Mandy is "Anna Foster," First Daughter. She's 18 and wants a life that doesn't include Secret Service agents. Well, her father promised her a night with just two agents, Weiss (Jeremy Piven) and Morales (Annabella Sciorra) while in Europe. He breaks that promise and Anna goes running off around Europe just with this guy, "Ben" she met while running away from the agents. "Anna" has a grand time being free and falls for "Ben" but "Ben" has his own little secret. The title is derived from the Secret Service's code name for "Anna," "Liberty." "Weiss" and "Morales" spend the majority of the movie chasing after "Anna." Piven's & Sciorra's scenes were cute. They were a great sub-plot. *Laughing* If you like them, see this movie.

I will watch it again when Beth rents it on DVD a few months from now.

I want to see that movie. I've seen Mandy Moore's other two films, and really liked them. She seems really down to earth and "real" unlike a lot of the other pop chicks, like you said.

Hadn't heard of the movie, but I checked out the preview. It looks cute, I'm considering seeing it. Thanks for the review!

I've been wanting to see that... I liked Walk to Remember, so I'm thinking I'll like this one, even though it's a totally different plot. Peter Pan is pretty good too, the kid who plays Peter is going to be pretty cute in a couple years...

It was good. Sure, they are trying to draw in teens to watch it but adults can enjoy it, too. To me, that was the beauty of it. It was something everyone can enjoy.

MariLynn went to see it today and loved it. I went with my father to see Cold Mountain yesterday. I LOVED THAT MOVIE!!!!!!! It is a MUST SEE! The very first was kinda slow, but in 10 minutes you get all into the movie. It has every emotion that you can feel all in one movie. YES, it was kinda too much blood for me, but it was the Civil War going on. I really think you would like this movie. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD! Talk to you soon!

Hard to believe that kid is 10!

I'll wait for it on DVD as that's usually how I like to watch movies. It does look good but I can never get into things that have been hyped here and there. Usually, I'm disappointed. However, by the time it's on DVD, the hype has died down.

I still have to watch Finding Nemo and Pirates Of the Caribbean 'cause I'm still hearing about them!
