Last night, my father and I watched NASA TV. The C-Band satellite dish is not working but we found that MSNBC.com carried a live feed via the Internet. We watched that. My father wanted to know it the Mars landing was a success. He cheered when they got a bounce. He got quiet when they lost a signal. We joked then that the Martians got another one. He cheered when they recovered a signal. And if you don't know, "Spirit" made a successful landing.

The computer we watched it on was a computer that our holiday guests gave my mother. It puts mine to shame. It only has Windows 98, as does mine. However, it has 192MB of RAM. I only have 56MB. No wonder we could watch the NASA feed! If I did that on my computer, I'd have to reboot after 30 minutes. As soon as we can, we'll be trying to get new RAM into this thing.
