Dear McNeil-PPC,
December 16, 2003

Let me just say I am offended by an Imodium ad I just saw while watching All My Children today.

Santa Claus is a magical person. Can we please keep him this way? Promoting your product, Imodium, by portraying Santa suffering from diarrhea is sick! It takes away the magic that is Santa Claus.

Whoever brainstorm this tripe of an ad deserves coal for Christmas.

Sincerely,
One Disgusted Soap Watcher

awww, c'mon it's a little bit funny. Santa with diarrhea... that explains why I ran into him at Walgreens! At least he wasn't there buying condoms. I'd have had to ask, "Whose wish list was THAT on?"

won't dispute that it's kind of sick though. still, anything to reel in the $$$$$. that's all it is ever about.

I know money is all what it's about these days. It's just what is Santa now? Everything is potty humor now. Must Santa join in?

And just another reason I don't like the commercialism of the holidays. Imagine what kids must have been thinking when they saw that and how the parents had to explain it once it was over. It's ridiculous.

I don't mind commercialism so long as it's tasteful, like the Coke Christmas cans. But Santa and diarrhea?
