The FF For Decemb
December 12, 2003

Friday Five:

1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays? When I was younger, I always wanted a White Christmas. Now, I love the mild Christmas days we have in the south.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect? Don't get me started. *Sigh* I know what I want. It's pictured in my head but I'm far from ever getting it.

3. Do you do have any holiday traditions? We did but over time, my family's spirit in the holiday has waned. That started a decade ago when we moved here and Grandmother was ill. We just started losing our spirit in time. We don't even want a Christmas tree up this year.

4. Do you do anything to help the needy? I try when I can. I remember being younger, my mother would always get an angel off the angel tree and donate to that. My Girl Scout troop would adopt and angel each year, too. While in Honor Society, they allowed us to purchase community service hours by buying a gift. I know what Honor Society did was wrong and I shouldn't have done it, but I did to stay in and some kids got a baby doll. I'd donate to the Salvation Army tins any change I had. And last year, I participated in a Mysterious Santa project.

5. What one gift would you like for yourself? Aah, what the heck. It's perfect for this:

Santa can you hear me?
I have been so good this year
And all I want is one thing
Tell me my true love is here
He's all I want, just for me
Underneath my Christmas tree
I'll be waiting here
Santa that's my only wish this year
That's from "My Only Wish (This Year)" by Britney Spears. It's a cute little song. Just don't make him a jerk. *Santa Smile*

Comments

1. I like the cold and snow. As long as I'm not the one outside.

3. It's the after Christmas tradition where my sister drags me out of bed at a ridiculous hour in the morning in order to go shopping.

5. As always, the ever predictable "sleep".

Sleep is a great gift, too. I wish I didn't have this feeling of I must be up by 10 AM each morning when I can sleep in.

I don't know which day is worst - After Thanksgiving or After Christmas.

I bet Britney is thinking that too... Or "Please don't make him Justin.." LMAO!!
