Last Night Was Fa
December 10, 2003

First, the fine art departments of Beth's school has a Christmas program and art gallery. I went along with my mother and brother. We didn't look at the art, just to listen to the band and choir. Except for "Greensleeves," the band was good. Made me miss my days of days of playing the flute. It also made me, finally, appreciate my 3 years of Mrs. Colborn at St. Mary's. *EEK!* Not only was she my 3rd grade homeroom teacher, but she also taught me in 1st and 2nd grades. All three grades, she taught us about symphonic music in addition to what ever else she taught, which I believed was social studies. I only remember the music all 2 years. Actually did little tunes with the chimes, symbols, and bells. Memories of all those music courses just flooded back to me.

After the band, the choir performed. Beth prefers choir over band. Excpet for the kids' choir for Chrismas at St. Joseph's when I was a child, I never did like singing. I would fake singing during choir practice at St. Mary's. We would always have a choir practice the Wednesday afternoon prior to first Friday mass. I didn't enjoy many of the songs. The oe song I never did mind signing was "All The Ends Of The Earth." The choir was good. Honestly, I enjoyed the band better.

After we came home, my mother and I sat down and watched Holiday. I had to return true">it today and had offered to watch it the other night with her. Yesterday at lunch, she remarked about wanting to watch it with me. So, we did last night. I took it back today.

Isn't the simple life grand? *Laughing*
