Well, the NL Gold Glove winners were announced today and Greg Maddux did not win the pitcher's award. His fellow teammate on the Atlanta Braves, Mike Hampton won it. I figured Hampton would get it if Maddux didn't. Maddux, even winning 15 games, really had an off year. Hampton had some rough games, too, this year, but when it came to fielding, Hampton looked better at it.

Hopefully, he'll rebound with whatever team he signs with. Is it wrong to still want him in Atlanta? Come on Greg, do it. Don't allow your agent to do all the work just for the money. Money can't pay for everything, like all the memories of golfing with Smoltz!
Posted by: Shawn at November 6, 2003 11:20 AMDon't get me started on how athletes move around from team to team, please! You really don't want me to do that.
And I think it was just an off-year. had to be. ;)
Posted by: eliz at November 6, 2003 9:09 PMYeah, it had to be an off year. Don't worry, I wo't get you started on the merry-go-round of players. That can get at me, too.
