My Day, My Day.
October 31, 2003

And just how was my day?

I went to school and picked up the two remaining maps I needed for history. Beth and her friend sat on one of the maps. *Banging My Head Against The Wall* It was the World map, which is too small to label all of Europe my professor wants us to label. I sent her an e-mail asking would "see European map" be acceptable. I can label the European map in detail.

Picked up Nicki at her work and she, my mother, and I ended up having lunch at Arby's near her place of employment. While dining in, this guy comes into the store in a jump suit and with black paint on his face. It was a white guy. I start thinking ASAP about C. Thomas Howell in Soul Man. Not only did I think this, but Nicki thought of it and one of the girls behind the counter. Neither of them could remember the movie's title since it was on the tip of their tongue. *Laughing* For remembering the title, I got a coupon for a free Krispy Kreme doughnut. Sad thing, the guy had no clue what movie we were talking about. I have to wonder what was up with the guy and if he was going blackface for Halloween.

The other funny encounter for today was at the intersection of Abercorn and White Bluff. We were heading north on Abercorn approaching the intersection. They have a red light camera there so you have to be careful about running the light. A Savannah Police Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department car with the Savannah Police logo still on it is in the lane next to us, about a dozen feet ahead. My mother jokes about wondering if the police get a ticket if they run the light. It seems the officer in the car was going to run the light. The light turned yellow and my mother slows down and stops at the light. The Rav4 in front of us and of the officer did, too. However, the police officer did not and darn near rammed into the back of the Rav4. He didn't and swerve a bit into our lane to stop. *Laughing* My mother and I start laughing our heads off at what just happened. Even police officers "fall asleep" at the wheel, too.

That is too funny! I've always wondered, too, if cops can be pulled over by other cops... "do you know how fast you were going back there, Bill?" *lmao*
