But for you slap happy buddy icon searchers, I repeat my quick tutorial on buddy icon making: How to MAKE one a buddy icon on your PC. Open the picture you want a buddy icon to be in a program that edits images. For example, Paint will do. Crop and resize the photo until it's exactly what you want to see and it's 50x50 pixels. Save the image as another file. Boom! Bang! You have your own buddy icon.
