First off, just wanted to say I got my free Savannah Sand Gnats umbrella from umbrella night today. I had 3 to pick up. My neighbor was right when she said they are nice.
It's bigger than the pink one I bought at school last year. And speaking of school and free stuff, Wednesday is AASU Day. Must get my free school t-shirt. ![]()
1. If you were to go on a diet (not that you should, babe, you look marvelous), which of the "fad diets" sounds the most appealing to you? My favorite diet is the famed see food diet. ![]()
2. I only ask, because with the holidays coming up, there will be a lot more food in our house than usual. It tempts me. Maybe if I exercise I can loose some now, and eat then and have it all balance out. Do you get much exercise? I should do more, I know. But, doesn't walking across half the campus to my car twice a week to get to history class count? ![]()
3. When I was walking the other night, I noticed a rent house was being cleaned out by the landlord. Apparently the owners just took the essentials and left a lot of junk in the house. The owner had stacked piles of junk on the lawn for the sanitation collectors. But I noticed several things in that mess that maybe I could use (like a gas powered hedge trimmer). I may still go back some dark evening. Have you ever raided someone's junk pile that was left out for the garbage truck? Or gone dumpster diving? What did you find? No, but we have people that stop and take stuff from our trash quite a bit.
4. Also in that same dumpster was the most awful shade of bright green carpet you've ever seen. Seriously, you wouldn't believe it if I showed you (and I will try to get a photo). Do you have any memories of ugly carpeting in your home or someone else's? What do you mean memories of ugly carpet? We still have some old '60's green shag carpeting in this house. However, my parents are about to toss it. Why do we still have it after 9½ of living in this house? Well, some things are more important that replacing functioning but ugly carpet.
5. As summer draws to a close, it means fewer outside chores. One I won't miss at all is mowing the lawn! What summertime chores will you be glad to see go away for the winter months? There aren't any summer time chores that I do.
6. Of course, it is hard to mention fall without at least touching on football. Do you have a(ny) favorite football team(s)? Do you and your family root for the same teams to win? We root for the Tennessee Titans in this house. ![]()
7. I will be heading to Anaheim next month to stay a few days for a convention. It would be great to meet up with some Bloggers, but I just don't know many out there. If you were to visit California, are there any Bloggers you'd like to meet up with? (And if you are in California, then who would you like to come see you!) Misbah for sure. We're not close but I'd meet up with dramabug for a John Mayer show out there. Heck, I'd met up with her even if there wasn't a John Mayer show.
Other than them, I really don't know that many people out in California that blog. But, I would meet up with the California Repeat Offenders. I know a few of them.
BONUS: Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true on the land or on the sea? IN THE NAVY! Ok, I did cheat, Trish. However, I think you can answer this question, better.

1. Well, my mom really wants to go on a mostly protein diet and she needed my support. Translation: "do it with me" Chicken, fish, vegetables and dairy. That's it. Nothing else.
2. Hey Shawn, do I get enough exercise?
3. Root through someone's garbage bins? Are you kidding me?! It's different if it's like a freebie they leave on their property with a sign that says "Take it"
4. Well if it's that hideous, I tend to block it out of my memory. What was this "carpet", Promo? Astroturf??!
5. I don't do chores. Period. Although, before the "real world" masses start to hate me--
--hold your breath. When I move back home, I will be responsible for doing everything from cooking to cleaning to shoveling the snow!
6.
I always rooted for the Giants but no one needs to remind me how badly they're laggin'! Think I'd better stick with the Vikes. As Shawn knows, I'm switching baseball teams too...and hockey. I was all about the NY teams--Giants(f), Mets(b) and Rangers(which I really only picked after my North Stars were bought by Dallas!). Fortunately I was already a Timberwolves fan from the get-go. At least now it would make more sense if ALL my favorite sports teams were from my hometown, wouldn't it! I especially would like to hop aboard the Vikings' ship...just so I can
at Trish when we beat the Cheeseheads!
7. Aww, thank you Shawn.
Bonus: by the time I think of some smartass reply, it won't be as funny! LOL. Plus I'm tired!

Meeting bloggers at a convention?! My housemate (the same one doing the thesis on weblogs) is gone to the BloggerCon at Harvard. I sort of wish I had gone too, but it costs a whole lot of money and I have more important stuff to do in lab.
There are a couple Californian bloggers I would like to meet, but I should of done that when I still lived there.
Posted by: sya at October 6, 2003 8:46 PMI knew you'd have a comment on that, Trish.
Misbah, you get plenty enough exercise.
Sya, I doubt there are enough bloggers in my area to do a meetup and of those few, most of them are creepy (Not you, Michael
). I did meet about 40 other Richard Marx fans in 1997 up in Atlanta. That was a blast.

They choked yet again.
