Ok, so a 91 is still an A. However, on Thursday, I had a mini-panic attack when taking the test. The thing that matters in the long run is that I do well in this course. Doesn't matter what numerical A I get, so long as I get an A.
Well, I want an A.

i'm going back to school!
who'd have thought that a few years after earning my degree from one of the best public universities in the nation(and spending $100,000--my mom not me), i'd be pursuing my career-related education at the community college level?!
yep, i've got 3 courses I have to take here to satisfy the prerequisite before being accepted into the Law Enforcement Professional Licensing Program. Once I'm in that(next September), I take another 4 theory-based courses in one semester and then a skills practicum course the following semester. AND THEN I'M IN THE ACADEMY(all the courses are offered at Minneapolis Community and Technical College's CCJLE. Center for Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement).
so basically, by late December, 2005, I will officially be sworn in as a cop!!
Community/Junior Colleges aren't that bad. ;) Cool finalizing the road to being a cop.
You'll make a great one.
I got my degree, too - and now am back in college for something completely different. Now I don't feel alone
Good luck!
Posted by: Chewie at October 1, 2003 6:41 AMI just want a degree in the first place!
Oh, you mean Misbah!
thanks Chewie!
shawn, y'know what i found out? For those "theory-based" courses at the CCJLE, I actually have to wear a uniform...dark slacks, white oxford shirt, navy blue sweatshirt and a nametag at every class!! For the skills practicum, it's just a grey or white tshirt and navy blue gym shorts. In that class, defensive holds and other skills are taught.
I can't wait!!!
Posted by: misbah kyrene at October 1, 2003 1:12 PMyou're right. it won't. cuz i look damn good in blue!

and i'll be sure to send you one! my mom was being funny and said, "Is that all you're hoping for? Just your picture in uniform? Because you know, Halloween is coming up..."
I said, "Well, the gun too."
(hee hee)
