I had another dream tonight that I was in my high school for college. I can leave you guessing parts of it.
It dealt with lockers and a history class. It's always a history class. Never math!
However, in parts of it, I was trying to get some big cheese balls from a vending machine. The machine would give me my change in dollar bills. I got a $16 bill for change! I was like "WTF!" when I saw it. So, I had to gallivant across the school's campus to report the counterfeit $16 bill, which was a bad job at that! Once I get into the office that's in charge of vending machine refunds, I show the 60-year-oldish lady the bill and she laughs. While filling out the complaint form, she asks about age. I instinctively answer "18" even though I'm 24. I know I'm 24. I make a joke about being programmed to say that answer for the past 6 years. A pregnant teacher was in the room and heard my joke. She came over and says she still says "18," too. The three of us are laughing over it. The older lady cuts me a $15 check for the $16 bill mishap. It seems $15 was the change I should have gotten.
I go back to the vending machine to get the cheese balls. I forgot about them in my puzzlement over the $16 bill. Some one took the cheese balls! But if I wanted, I could have gotten some cookie dough to bake in the student's lounge. I decided not to. I walk away from the machines with a Coke in tow and go back to math class.
The next thing I clearly remember is waking up singing "If That's What It Takes" by Céline Dion.
Finally, don't forget to answer my question about restaurant recommendations if you haven't, yet.

And I thought I was the only one having those dreams.
Ever have the one in which you get a phone call stating that you have to re-take the 12th grade because you failed a class that you really didn't?I hate those dreams, and it is always typing class that I have to retake too.
Posted by: Michael (Yog Sothoth) at September 23, 2003 2:44 PMThe reason it's always history class is that was the class this certain character always appears in when I have these dreams. However, we were in math class, too.
Thankfully, I haven't had that dream. And if that ever did happen to me, I'm prepared to start fighting it.
Posted by: Shawn at September 23, 2003 3:24 PMWhenever I have high school dreams, it's always French class. Half the time, the dream is in French too.
As for age, I think I'm getting too old. Part of the time I have to think a bit to make sure I'm getting my age right.
Posted by: sya at September 23, 2003 8:04 PMI'd be horrified if I had a dream saying I had to re-do 12th grade, I hated high school (and now I want to teach at one, I think I'm insane).
Aren't dreams weird, though? I always have odd ones. I especially like the one where my husband was a vampire, so I had to beat him up.
Posted by: Chewie at September 23, 2003 8:46 PMSo, in the big dream world, when dreaming about high school, Chewie's vampire husband is chasing her, Sya's in French class, I'm in history class with him and Michael's stuck in the cafeteria taking a test. …
That should be an interesting school!
