Tonight, I went to a baseball game that didn't happen. ![]()
Around 2 o'clock this afternoon, I had a thought about going to tonight's Savannah Sand Gnats
game. Nicki, Christina, and I went. We spent time watching a game that had to be called after 3½ innings of play, talking to my Sand Gnats PA neighbor and his wife, driving all over town just to see if we can find the hotel the Capital City Bombers were staying at (just down the road from Christina's home), and Nicki winning free piercing from the radio for the crazy story of sneaking backstage to "meet" Ashanti.
I didn't get home until Midnight and lost the long post I was writing about tonight. I'll quickly say that tonight was free umbrella night but the umbrellas were lost in transit. Instead we got a voucher to get the umbrella at the end of September. However, that didn't do us any good in the monsoon of rain that halted tonight's game. sincee it wasn't past the 4½ inning mark, it wasn't an official game.
All in all, I had fun. ![]()

looks like you all had a fun day, despite, y'know, the downpour.
now i know the other day i was wishing some horrible things on my mother... (and i only half meant those things that day. after my time with T, i only quarter-meant those things)
but right now, i'm really worried. she left early this morning apparently without so much as a note telling when she'll be back. i mean i knew where she had to be. but she ALWAYS calls like a million times just to check up on me(even though i'm an ADULT and not afraid of being alone in a huge house). anyway, it's her birthday today. no calls, not even to say "People, I can't believe you haven't wished me a happy birthday yet!" (which she does every year). It's midnight now and she hasn't called here once nor has she returned my calls. just gone.
this is not like her.... (now if i had done this, she'd waste no time calling the cops to report me missing!)

man is it ever hot here!! i hate it! somebody turned up the sun!!
just got back from my mom's bday lunch. my bro invited his girlfriend (who's really sweet, pretty and incredibly intelligent). this was that awkward "meet the parent" thing, except it wasn't really awkward. my mom thinks she's cool.
aww, my wittle bwother has a girlfwiend!
Don't that just figure... They promise a free umbrella and when you actually NEED it.. They don't have it...
Misbah... At least your bro is "older". My nephew has a little girl friend and they went to a fair together the other night! I THINK THAT IS SOOOO CUTE!! He's 12 and the girls parents came and picked him up and took them to the fair... HOW CUTE!!! Hehehe Makes me feel old though... I changed his diapers and baby sat him!!
Misbah, glad you found her.
Yesterday, I didn't have the chance to comment but I was a bit worried.
Trish, we were joking about that during the rain delay. My neighbors said to call Alanis and tell her that the rainout is what irony is all about!
