Ok, I not a Backstreet Boys fan per se, but I do like their song "The One." When I went to my first BSB concert, it was the one song I could really get into at the show. Then, when it was released as a single, wouldn't you know, footage from the Atlanta concert I saw was included in the song's video. ![]()
Yes, I'm home and off to do my homework as promised. But first, I wanted to do the HumpDay Hump:
Act VII Scene III: *We are sitting on the couch drinking water and trying not to float away.*
Quiet on the set!! Roll tape..... and....ACTION!!
Christy: I had to put the kids to bed last night and fell asleep myself by 9:30pm so I missed the President's State of the Union speech. Did you get to see it? If so, anything you agree/disagree on? If not, what did you watch instead?
You: I said I wasn't going to watch it but I did.
Most of the domestic ideas he suggested, the intentions seem sincere but you know politics. Political standing, favors, and egos will get in the way of actually getting anything done. So, I'll believe it all when I see it.
Christy: I completely would have been a flower child had I been a teenager during the sixties. I have even participated in a couple of protests in my day and age. Do you support the use of military action against Iraq or what? I admit I am torn. I feel there is a lot that we, the people, don't know about. Hussein has caused more than his share of destruction and strife in his lifetime and I don't think he will slow down by himself. So maybe military action is what it will take to knock him off his pedestal. What do you think?
You: Well, I'm torn, too. I don't really want to go to war. Yet, I understand why we need to get Saddam out of there. He invaded Kuwait in 1991 in order to take it over. Who's to say who else he'll try to invade to conquer? The thing that gets me the most is, why didn't we do the job correctly the first damn time in the Middle East?
Christy: I have been drinking sooooooooo much water lately (8-9 glasses a day!) that I feel like I am drowning. What is your all time favorite drink? (btw, I still have my coke - just now it is only one a day instead of 6 or 7)
You: I no longer drink Coke. It's all water. Speaking of which, I need another one! ![]()
Christy: I have been having some crazy ass dreams lately! I always dream strange dreams anyway but these are not allowing me to get much rest so I wake up needing a nap. Ugh. What is the weirdest dream you can remember? The best dream you can remember? Do you dream in color or black and white? Do you dream of flying or falling more?
You: I have plenty of weird dreams. The last one I can remember was spooky. It was a house in the Arsely Park area of town. A young mother was minding her own business in the house. She was killed when a piece of debris dropped from a military plane over her house. It was on fire and struck her in the head. She only had a few seconds to see it. Scared me. Why could I be having that type of dream? ![]()
Christy: My wish for a device that would allow me to stop time around me got me to thinking. How long would I stop time for at a time? What would I do during that time? Would I do it more than once a day? I would definitely use it once a day for a much needed nap when the kids won't go to sleep. I would also use it for an hour or two once or twice a week in order to get things done that I wanted to do. What's on your to do list right now? What about your "would like to do" list?
You: Clean my room!
That's a running joke with me. Travel the state. I'm a road geek and I would love to just travel and take photos of road signs. Of course, I don't want to look silly doing that in front of others.
There's plenty more of stuff I want to do. But, I have homework that needs to be done.
Christy: Who do you most admire? What qualities of theirs would you like to possess?
You: Anyone that not afraid of the world. The Lord sure knows I am! Sometimes, I'm not afraid of the world while in my car. I seem to have the most confidence in myself in my car. Is that funny or what?
Christy: If this was a perfect world where the lack of willpower and motivation where nonexistant, what steps would you take to making your life what you want it to be?
You: Well, move out of here and get my own place. Finish college. Move out of Savannah to either Atlanta, Orlando, or Nashville. Would free access to money be available, too? ![]()
Christy: See you next week!
You: Bye!
CUT!!
