I was scarce today because I spent the day reading my new book, A Bend In The Road, going around town with Nicki, and watching the Titans game.

I'm tired, believe it or not.

In the book I'm reading, one of the characters is about to ask another character on a date. Or he tries, as when he goes to ask about a date, out spits from his mouth a question of a fan. I start thinking about Dirty Dancing. I think of the scene where Baby says "I carried a watermelon." I started laughing. I guess I needed it.

It's nice to read about characters being idiots when it comes to speaking to people they like. Glad to know I'm not alone. Okay, so they are fictional but finctional characters are often based on real people.

The only think about this new book is I'm not reading it as fast as I did The Rescue.
