I'm A Goofball.
May 8, 2003

I know my last entry's topic in regards to the entry before that does not make sense. Since when did I ever? *Laughing*

I do feel better now. *Smile* I just had to cry last night about everything. We all get that way at times.

And now for another music-related meme I found at Anything But Ordinary. It's about Old School Music. *Smile*

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is name 3 songs you remember from elementary school, middle school and high school. I went to four different types of school, so this is how I separate it:

Elementary school (K-4th grades):

  1. "Bad" - Michael Jackson
  2. "Faith" - George Michael
  3. "Only In My Dreams" - Debbie Gibson

Middle school (5th & 6th grades):

  1. "Step By Step" - New Kids On The Block
  2. "Someday" - Mariah Carey
  3. "It Must Have Been Love" - Roxette

Junior high school (7th - first half of 9th grades):

  1. "Hazard" - Richard Marx
  2. "Runway Train" - Soul Asylum
  3. "Baby Got Back" - Sir Mix-A-Lot

High school (second half of 9th - 12th grades):

  1. "Breakfast At Tiffany's" - Deep Blue Something
  2. "Don't Let Go" - En Vogue
  3. "Stay" - Lisa Loeb

I thought I was the only one who LOVED that En Vogue song. Ooh it's a great pick

I love that song, too. I'll still turn it up to this day.

I could never do that meme. I don't ever remember songs from particular times that were popular because I don't listen to what's popular at the time. I get into stuff years after it's had it's moment in the spotlight. Until recently, of course.

I didn't really get into music until 5th grade and New Kids On The Block. I remember Debbie since she was Nickelodeon's Pin-up Queen. And in 3rd grade, the lady we carpooled with played NOTHING but Bad & Faith in her van. At age 8 & 9, I knew al the lyrics to those albums.
