While I'm typing out last night's dream, enjoy this week's Friday Five:
1. Who is your favorite celebrity? I really don't have a favorite celebrity at the moment.
2. Who is your least favorite? I have MANY of those.
I'm not going to name them to tick anyone off.
3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life?
I've met Richard Marx four times. At the Tennessee shows, I met Richard's guitarist/friend Bruce Gaitsch. At Nashville, I met Richard's wife, Cynthia Rhodes Marx.
BBMak at least once. (I'm not counting the Jacksonville encounter where my sister interviewed them on the radio while I looked on from the other side, in the mob, of the table they were behind.) I'm met Youngstown & Nobody's Angel the same day I met BBMAK, first at the same press conference all three groups where having. We ran into Nobody's Angel later in the middle of MGM Studios. Then, met all three of them later, again, that night.
I've met of Danay of the now defunct group Innosense in 1998 at an *NSYNC mall show. I met Alieen Quinn from Annie when I was 12 and she was 19/20. You can decide if Atlanta Braves pitcher Greg Maddux staring at me is an encounter. Also, I met former baseball player/manager Jim Fregosi and Lou Perlman the same weekend last year.
Other celebrites I've seen in real life are those I've seen at concerts or at baseball games.
I myself haven't seen any celebrities in town, which I could since Savannah is a mini-Hollywood. However, as I was paying the water bill one day, my mother was driving around the block, she saw Hal Holbrook walk by on the sidewalk. I didn't get to see him but she was excited when I got back into the car.
4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not? When you're younger, of course you want to be famous. We all want the money!
Now, I wouldn't care if I'm famous. I don't want to be so famous that I live without altering who I am. I don't want that.
5. If you had to trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why? Goodness, that's hard. I couldn't decide who I would want to be for a day.

1. Who is your favorite celebrity?
*Matthew Perry
2. Who is your least favorite?
*Like Shawn, I have many.
3. Have you ever met or seen any celebrities in real life?
*Richard Marx, twice. Dave Pelzer(the author. think he's a celeb by now!). Michael Johnson and Regina Jacobs, both professional track athletes. Kevin Garnett of the MN Timberwolves. Robert Downey Jr(because I ran into him, literally). the Backstreet Boys in October '97. Nicholas Sparks. Kerry Strug(she went to Stanford and i ran into her downtown, once several years ago during a break from school). Ben Savage(yep, he was at Walgreens downtown--here in P.A.-- two years ago. and he was an arrogant ASS!). Rob Thomas and Paul Doucette of Matchbox Twenty. Still waiting to meet Celine!! And Matthew but for dating! lol
4. Would you want to be famous? Why or why not?
*Um, yeah. That's what I always wanted to be.
Mostly, I want it because that's just how I've always been. I wanted to leave a legacy. I knew I wanted to be a household name someday when I was a kid. I wanted to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated since I was 5. But also, I wanted to be front and center as a big
to my father. Proof that he couldn't destroy me.
5. If you had to trade places with a celebrity for a day, who would you choose and why?
*No one.
I would like to date Matthew though!!
Now the big question regarding the Robert Downey, Jr. meeting: was he out of it when that happened?
lmao, shawn!!

Actually, the year was 1993. It was the best of times and it was... lol. kidding. Seriously though, it was a few days before our state meet in SoCal. i'd actually qualified for the CIF track meet and my team and i were just chillin'. Some of us decided to cruise around and i don't remember where we were at...oh yeah, near a McDonald's in Santa Monica. I'd been talking to someone on another school team and then ran back to join mine. Guess I didn't look where I was going cuz I ran right into RDJ. At first, I remember looking frightened cuz I thought he'd try to sue me(as if stars didn't have enough money!) but after commenting how glad I was he wasn't carrying any hot beverages, I started laughing and apologizing. He thought it was funny too and then wished me luck at the meet. (i was wearing my school warmups. it was pretty obvious) . That was my run-in with Robert Downey Jr.
Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at April 18, 2003 2:22 PM"you run pretty fast...right into people" is what he'd said just before wishing me luck at the meet.
...i also said i ran into Kerry Strug here in Palo Alto...but not like that.
