Monday Mission:

1. When I was a kid, I used to always get Strep Throat. I seemed to get it every year. Are there any illnesses that you seem more susceptible to than others? I had the same problem as a child. I had a tonsillectomy when I was 7. It worked in killing the strep throat, but only after I finally healed. I had some complications from the surgery and will not share at this time or else you will gag. Ever since then, illness has been few and far except for a flu now and then and a case of pneumonia when I was 12.

I'm not counting my gallbladder problems because that wasn't so much an illness as a body part not working right.

2. A recent poll stated that "Michael" and "Ashley" are the number one baby names in New York. (However, in Oklahoma it seems like there are two or three girls named "Madison" everywhere you go). What are your favorite boy and girl names? What names do you think are trendy or overused? If you have children, would you give them the same name if you had another chance? You know by asking this question, my names will be stolen. I like the names Mark for a boy and Jamie for a girl. I'm not saying anymore on that. And Madison is an overused name. I can't believe Ashley is back to the overuse now. When I was growing up, Ashley and Jennifer were the big, trendy names. Wish I could answer the other part for you. *Laughing*

3. Any current songs on the radio (or elsewhere) that you think are pure crap? Why don't you like it? Open Pandora's box, why don't you? Crap songs at the moment? Well, I've been avoiding radio so that's hard to choose. Let me turn it on…can't find a crappy song at the moment. Oh, Simple Plan is crappy. Beth loves them but all their songs sound the same.

4. I used to play the trumpet in High School. I was never very good and always seemed to be last chair. I tried to play it again last week and it was a pretty sad sight. Can you (now or in your youth) play any musical instruments? Do you still play? I played flute. I still know the fingering but I haven't played it in a while.

5. What is the most recent self-improvement program (fitness, weight loss, learning something new) that you began? Did you stick with it? Why or why not? Going back to school. My GPA is on the rise. *Smile*

6. How would you look in a Hooters uniform? - provided by Hootress Maybe if a full pounds were off from my tummy, I wouldn't look bad a full figured woman. I'm not fat. I just have a genetic pot belly.

7. Have you ever had a dream where you interacted with a celebrity (sex or otherwise)? What happened? - provided by Kat Lively Plenty of times. Richard Marx has been in a few. I was 13 when I had one dream in which we rode a silly roller coaster together. *Laughing* *NSYNC's been in a few. Too many to describe. Barry Zito was in a dream once and I'm STILL trying to figure that one out. *Laughing* However, my mind does not ever dream of sex with celebrities, that's for sure.

BONUS: Do you believe in love, do you believe it's true? Promo's singing Huey Lewis and the News now. *Laughing* Yes, I believe in love. *Smile*

1. When I was a kid, I used to always get Strep Throat. I seemed to get it every year. Are there any illnesses that you seem more susceptible to than others?
*Chronic bronchitis.

*Hey,I like the name Madison but only because it reminds me of Det. Cyd Madison from that show, "The Commish". She was my favorite character. As for my favorite names: Garrett Blake for a boy and Angelia Denise for a girl. My favorite boy name though is Nicholas and my rabbit already has that name! lol. it's cruel to name your child the same name you gave to your pet! There are a lot of overused names but one I'm especially sick of is Brittany, or any variation of it!

3. Any current songs on the radio (or elsewhere) that you think are pure crap? Why don't you like it?
*I don't listen to the radio anymore so I don't have to insult my ears.

4. I used to play the trumpet in High School. I was never very good and always seemed to be last chair. I tried to play it again last week and it was a pretty sad sight. Can you (now or in your youth) play any musical instruments? Do you still play?
*I can't play the violin anymore. I used to and had the chance to be first chair. I was for a while but couldn't handle the stress of sheer perfection. I just didn't want to have a violin solo! So I happily settled for second chair.

5. What is the most recent self-improvement program (fitness, weight loss, learning something new) that you began? Did you stick with it? Why or why not?
*I quit my former team and found a new coach and am doing much better. And yes, of course I'm sticking with it. Already, my size 9 jeans fit again. I'm so pleased. I've still got 3 more sizes to go but this is just very encouraging.

6. How would you look in a Hooters uniform? - provided by Hootress
*lol. I never really cared to know.

7. Have you ever had a dream where you interacted with a celebrity (sex or otherwise)? What happened? - provided by Kat Lively
*Lots of times, mostly dreaming of Matthew Perry. And yes, I dreamed I was having sex with him! I've also dreamed more times than I can count that I was out shopping with Celine. That would be sooooo cool.

BONUS: Do you believe in love, do you believe it's true?
*laughing too hard to say something smartassy. lol but yes, I do believe in love*

Ohh…you're kinky. And you're a size 9! I hate your ho ass! Just kidding. Size shouldn't matter - our hearts are all that matter. However, I wish I could be a 12!

Posted by: Shawn at April 14, 2003 9:54 PM

Kinky??? Moi?!
I don't believe I actually explained anywhere exactly what I did with him in my dreams.

and you're right, our hearts are all that matter. I've actually always been a 5/6 until I met my ex-coach. isn't it "ironical" that 5 years would add so many more inches on me rather than maintaining my figure?! who woulda thunk it? I only mentioned the drop in sizes because most of my clothes are all size 6, except for the size 9's I had to buy in the past few years.

anyway who cares! hearts matter more. btw, i got the Savannah postcard. thanks. i'll send you the Palo Alto one from the POST OFFICE this time since our mailman is loco en cabezo.

Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at April 15, 2003 12:11 AM

I never send mail from my home for that reason! Besides, the post office that isn't even my post office is just a 10 minute road trip if traffic is bad.

I know what you did with Matthew! The Venus Butterfly!
