I'm Starting To F
February 3, 2003

It's nice outside and yet I feel as if I'm back in grade school. I never liked being sick on beautiful days.

I was thinking how I would like to go to Nashville for a little vacation. *Smile* The bad thing about traveling to either Nashville or Atlanta (since Atlanta is on the way to Nashville) is the I-16! It's one of the most boring roads I have ever been on. US 84 From Hinesville to Valdosta (especially the Waycross-to-Valdosta stretch!) is probably the other most boring road I have ever traveled on.

Not to fear, I bring you the story of the The Imp of I-16:

Residing somewhere along the expanse of Interstate 16 between Savannah and Macon, The Imp is perhaps the region's most elusive spirit.

As a defense mechanism, this mysterious creature possesses the otherworldly ability to disguise itself as a Georgia pine, blending in perfectly with the 75 gazillion other pines lining the highway.

Since there seems to be nothing along I-16 other than pine trees, this is a particularly effective disguise.

No one has ever seen The Imp of I-16.

Yet, I still want to travel. *Laughing*

You so silly. I guess I find it strange that some people are worried/scared/etc. to travel and drive. I've been doing it for so long and I travel alot since I am so far away from family, it's just natural to me. I don't care for the long boring drives but they don't scare me. Only thing that scares me is seeing red and blue flashing lights in my mirror cause I'm going a tiny bit fast Ok so I go about 15 over the speed limit some times but I swear I'm just keeping up with traffic.. and passing them.

Anyway, glad your feeling better and hope to chat again real soon. *hugs*

Oh, I'm not afraid to travel. Drive so of the way, maybe, but never to travel! I just can't stand those roads. I should film an entire trip on those roads and force you to watch. Then you'd understand!

And I didn't write that I-16 piece. It ran in the newspaper a few years ago and I loved it!
