My morning isn't going all that great for me. I've been up an hour and heard my name more times in that span than I care to hear.
One of the things I had to do this morning was set up the Gateway again. My parents took it to Augusta yesterday for their friend Richard to reformat it. Well, I set it up this morning so my mother can get her e-mail. Ok, e-mail downloads. That's good. E-mail I try to send out - it won't send out. Not so good. Why didn't they check and get her e-mail to work before coming home? ![]()
Now, I can't tell if I have the wrong server typed in for my mother's mail account or that the server is right but just isn't working. Do you think I could find a phone number for our ISP for customer support? No! They have an e-mail form. I'm sorry, e-mail is helpful for a shy person like me but in cases of technical support, I like to talk to a real person.
Is that so wrong to want to talk to a person?
Finally, Friday Five time:
1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year? Going back to school. I'm only taking a class at a time but I have two classes under my notch.
2. What was your biggest disappointment? Being fired. It sounds cocky but I know it wasn't my fault. But the boss made a decision and fired me for God knows what. Fine, I'll move on, hopefully to something bigger and better one day. But, I hope they are paying the price in firing me. I still can't believe they choose H over me but that's life.
I know I did complain about my work but the fact is, I was happy there. Everyone complains about work. But I would go each morning, ready to tackle my work and get it done. Most afternoons, I would have an hour to myself because I did my work and I didn't have anything else to do. I asked for more work and they always poo-pooed it, telling me I was fine in what I did and just needed to work with that. It's been nearly 5 months since I was fired and it still hurts me to know I was fired. It hurts more to know I wasn't fired for my work ethic but that I was fired because some other person just didn't flat like me.
It's what it boils down to.
Hey, I got a bit of justice last Friday. My mother and I were driving by the old office around 4 PM and saw G's car still in the parking lot. She must have been doing some work before the Christmas break they would get. Now, last year, all the work in that office was completed by 3 PM so we all got to leave by then. They must be slow or slacking off if G, queen of leaving work early if she can, was still there in the office at 4PM, the last day of work for the year. All I could do was laugh and yes, it did make me feel better.
3. Will you be making any New Year's resolutions? No, not really. They never stick, anyway.
4. Where will you be at midnight? Do you wish you could be somewhere else? At home, yet again, celebrating with my family and Pikachu.
5. Aside from (possibly) staying up late, do you have any other New Year's traditions? Not really. I just go to sleep when I can.

I did that url you suggested, thanks!
And yes, the REEL Nsync is the one that Joey shot. Hope you're having a good day! I can't wait until 3:30! LOL
Posted by: Tammtamm at December 27, 2002 12:28 PMAgain, too lazy to go to my Xanga and do this. sowwy. lol...have to go for my run soon anyway but here it is...
1. Swallowing my pride and at least trying the javelin(having always had a less than pleasant impression of throwers). Turns out I am a natural and this--rather than sprinting--is more likely my ticket to the Games...though I'm still hoping to sprint too.
2. Biggest disappointment, that's easy...learning that the man I love is "spoken for".
3. lol, you mean you haven't seen my resolutions post at RM.com? hahahaha
4. At home, drunk from enough Hennessy to numb me from the knowledge and subsequent pain/heartache/longing/desperation/blahblahblah that the only one I want to spend New Year's Eve with is out kissing somebody else at midnight. It should be me!!
5. Well, see number 4 and consider that I will be engaging in an obscene amout of Matthew therapy. I have both Seasons on dvd, plus all 4 "Best Of..." volumes...that's a lot of hours of Chandler Bing!
Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at December 27, 2002 2:17 PMJoey shot NSync!?!?!?!
LMAO.. I just got N The Mix today. Came in the mail! But I'm mad. It's supposed to be brand new still in the package, which it was, but there is not book in it. There is supposed to be some kind of insert thing and there is NOTHING!! At least I got my DVD... Listening to my Eminem CD right now!! Hehe
