I like going through my tracker. I like to see where people are coming from and how they got to my site. There is one query that is puzzling me. The term is "jeep girls."
I at least get a hit on that every week. I'm sure once upon a blog entry I mentioned a Jeep. After all, I know I'm not alone in wanting a Jeep (My Richard Marx friends, you know the Jeep!) But the popularity of this term just puzzles me.
Sorry, Promoguy, but Christine's questions look so much more entertaining this week. I'm getting burned out on Christmas memes. So on to This-or-That Tuesday:
1. Opening presents...rip 'em open with all abandon, or carefully open, preserving the pretty paper for recycling? Except for this one shiny, fancy, expensive paper my mother could re-use one year, we rip the paper off! ![]()
2. Do you and yours take turns, opening one gift at a time, or does everyone just rip into everything at the same time? We rip into them at the same time.
3. If you get something you don't like...do you try to return true">it, or keep it so as not to hurt the giver's feelings? Well, thankfully, I haven't encountered this problem all that much. In 1994, my friend, Melanie, gave me a cassette I already had. I explained the truth to her and her mother. I was going to their home, anyway, so on the way, we stopped at the store she got the cassette from and I exchanged it for one I didn't have. The thing that does matter was the thought that went into the original gift. She got me something she knew I would enjoyed.
4. Do you spend the holiday at home (yours or someone else's), or do you go out and eat, see the newest movie, whatever? We usually spend Christmas at our own home. I have spent a few Christmases in Nashville, but the ones at home are better. I like being able to be myself for the holidays. Except tomorrow I'll be gone part of the day tomorrow volunteering for the Mysterious Santa project.
5. What do you do with Christmas cards after the holiday is over? Save them, or toss them? I don't know what happened to them. Some get thrown away. Others we keep. As to this system, I'm clueless.
6. Cook Christmas dinner, or does someone else do that? My mother cooks it when we're at home, usually. I don't know what we are having tomorrow for dinner.
7. It's Christmas Eve, and you have run out of wrapping paper. Do you go out and buy more, or wrap the rest of the gifts in the Sunday comics? Use the newspaper. I've gotten birthday gifts in newspaper! Don't stress out about being out of paper.
8. On Christmas morning...up at the crack of dawn, eagerly anticipating the loot...or would you rather sleep in? When I was younger, it was at the crack of dawn, maybe even earlier. As we all have aged in my family, it gets later.
9. Do you want a white or a green Chrismas? Well, we're getting a green Christmas here in Savannah.
And at the moment, we're having a wet Christmas Eve. I want is a white Christmas just once, but I feel I missed my chance! ![]()
10. Going to church on Christmas...yes or no? I would love to but I don't have a church that I belong to and I don't have the clothes for attending church. Unless jeans are acceptable clothing for church now.
