I'm going to the fair this year, after all.
My brother is going with a bunch of friends and Nicki wants to go, too. My mother figured if they are going, Beth and I should go, too. Except Beth doesn't want to go.
I forgot to let you know of a new feature I added to my site. Click "and she blabs on?" to see it. ![]()
I added the JAVAScript coding for "A Better Way To Display Extended Entries". That way, you don't have to leave the front page to read any entries I decided to place in the extended entry section of a post. ![]()
Today, I have a quiz on exponential functions today. Oh joy!
They go hand and hand with the logarithms.
And in baseball news, Barry Zito wins the Cy Young award and Yankees are about to cut dental plans. Sorry for those that wanted a Red Sox to win the Cy, but I wanted Zito to win. And as much as I really don't want to see people lose their dental coverage, doesn't it seem fun as a Yankee hater to know the Yankees are "clipping coupons."
And finally, Friday Five:
1. Did you vote in your last elections? Yes I did. Even got my sticker, too.
2. Do you know who your elected representatives are?Yes, at the current moment, they are Zell Miller, Max Cleland, and Jack Kingston. But come January, Max Cleland was voted out of office by Saxby Chambless. Also, the state recently had redistricting and my part of town was switched from Jack Kingston's District 1 to a new District 12 with Athens and Augusta.
Max Burns won the District 12 seat.
3. Have you ever contacted an elected representative? If so, what was it about? Well, at my job, my ex-boss made me download the voting of the bankruptcy reform act and then send a fax to every senator. Hmm, As I recalled, just J and I did that. She wrote the letters and then I sent the faxes. H was off doing what ever she does to avoid work that day. But you know, my ex-boss refuses to see that she allowed a cancer to move in and control her office. Yeah, I'm still bitter about that and I will probably be bitter for that forever. I never did get proper closure on it.
One my own, I did contact my Senators and Congressman after the Newdowvision ruling. I still believe the ruling is wrong and I wanted to express my concern and hope that they do everything in their power not to remove the "under God" from the pledge. Only Cleland wrote me back.
4. Have you ever participated in a demonstration? No.
5. Have you ever volunteered in an election? What was the result? Again, no. The most I've done for an election is the mock election we had in 8th grade. I help make posters for the Clinton campaign and placed them on the wall in school. At the time, I was mad at Bush #41 for the Gulf War. I can now say after 8 years of the Clinton White House, I can't believe I did all that in 1992.

Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at November 8, 2002 2:27 PMMan I haven't been to a fair since.. Umm.. summer 2001 and it was a very small one but I got to see fire works and not spend the 4th by myself. If I had known then what I know now(this was only a couple days before the bomb was dropped about my dad and papa's cancer), I doubt the fireworks would have mattered much...
For Tammy...
Heheheh and NO!! It's NOT
YET!! I am so not ready...
