Angels win the World Series!

Monkey Power!

No more butt kissing sounds from Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Their lips have been ripped off the butts of the Giants. Okay, well, they sound all so positive for the Giants and so doubtful when it came to the Angels. Were the broadcasters on the other 3 networks (ABC, NBC, & CBS) this bias for one team over the other in World Series broadcasts? I understand the bias Joe, Don, Skip, and Pete on TBS/Turner South have since they are on the Braves's network. I know the White Sox and Cubs broadcasters are bias for their teams on WGN. But this is national television! Both Angels and Giants fans are watching this Series.

But back to the real point at hand! The Angels won the World Series. No more arrogant Barry Bonds. No more cocky Kenny Lofton. The Angels get this year's rings! A franchise with long history, except winning postseason series. They didn't win one until they took down the Yankees. That must have been fate on the Angels side. Sweet rewards for players like Salmon (the active player that had played the most games without ever going to postseason until this year), Eckstein (the short player that was waived by the Red Sox and is considers the pestiest player in the AL) and Donnelly (they player dropped in favor of The Rookie Jim Morris. It's a nice, sweet story to end the 2002 baseball season.

*Party On!*

The offseason, however, is now beginning. Time for me to start tracking and rooting for the Atlanta Braves and the Oakland A's.

YAY!! I watched the ending(and parts of the game) and sappy me was a little teary at the end... I didn't realize that they had never had a pennant in 42 years! They definitely deserved it!

And now every team will be building their 2003 team in the Angels mold and maybe everyone will design new uniforms like the Angels did this year.
