Most of yesterday was spent on my computer working on revamping my site's look. That mean creating a template, creating a template for Movable Type, adding features to the MT template, and transforming HTML from on document to another. Once I get off this, I'll spend more time on it. Also, I'm going to try to set up a mailing list that won't require me to have to set it up and mail out personally from my computer. The list is too long and I'm going to drop that e-mail program as soon as I can. ![]()
Ok, I'm going to get frowned upon but Richard Marx should not have recorded "This I Promise You." His version is lacking the swooning emotion *NSYNC has.
Now the memes!
1.) What would you like the world to spend research money on (inner space, outer space, stem cell, you name it research), and why do you give it top priority? Tough one! I say both space and stem cell research. If we don't keep exploring spcae, interest is going to die out. Don't we wonder what's out there? And stem cell research because it holds the power to heal. (But I'm not in the mood to get into debating about if it's killing embryos.)
2.) Where's the beef, Carmine Miranda, or what's bugging you lately? People.
It's always people. I don't even know how they can rub me the wrong way. But it happens and I want to give them dirty looks.
3.) Elliott would like to know, do you type without looking at the keyboard; in other words, are you a hunt and peek (in his case that would be hunt and claw), or a "true typist?" Sort of, I look that where the keys are and then I can type a bit without looking at the keyboard. Then I look again. It works for me.
This-or-That Tuesday this week is hosted at amancay.com:
1. The Cosby Show or A Different World? Cosby! Originals are usually better than spin-offs.
2. Happy Days or Joanie Loves Chachi? Anyone remembers Joanie Loves Chachi? Unfortunately, I remember watching it but couldn't tell you a darn about any episodes. I liked Happy Days when I was younger but now I can't watch it on reruns.
3. Cheers or Frasier? An exception to the rule! I can watch Frasier reruns before I can watch a Cheers rerun. The funny things about Frasier is how they had to explain things written in Cheers that were not true on Frasier. Like Frasier's father! ![]()
4. Beverly Hills, 90210 or Melrose Place? I could watch Melrose before I could watch 90210
5. Real World or Road Rules? Neither
6. Law & Order: SVU or CI? SVU
7. The Osbournes or The Anna Nicole Show? The lovely Osbournes.
8. Diff'rent Strokes or The Facts of Life? The Facts of Life
9. VeggieTales or 3-2-1 Penguins!? VeggieTales
10. Degrassi or Degrassi: the Next Generation? Both, actually. I like that Degrassi: the Next Generation is tied in to the old Degrassi thanks to "Emma". For those that don't know, "Emma" is "Spike"'s daughter.

*noting way cool comment template* I may have to come back and check this out closer, love the colors!
Posted by: amancay at October 22, 2002 3:17 PMHaven't heard RM do TIPY but I'm sure I would feel the same you do... There are just some things you don't mess with... They are perfectly done the first time. And Nooooo I'm not the least bit biased here... Really..
Hehe
Maybe if you are 39, you'd swoon to Richard's version but I find *NSYNC more romantic.
Posted by: Shawn at October 23, 2002 10:31 AMcrazy elliott is sitting in my lap eyeing the keyboard as i type this out.
it is amazing how few folks wonder "what's out there." i wonder how much we'll know in my life time? perhaps cats are more curious than people.
Posted by: jf at October 24, 2002 7:43 AMHas nothing to do with age... I have always loved 4-5 part harmony.
Posted by: Dragon at October 24, 2002 8:17 AMTrish, I wasn't talking about you but the general RM population.
And JF, aren't cats at the computer a funny thing? I don't mind a cat being with me if they don't touch the keyboard. In fact, Christopher sometimes gets on our lap as we are on it.
