Just The Memes, P
October 15, 2002

I'm at the school lab to print out my resumé. I won 50 free laser pages last week and I need to put them to good use. *Smile* So for now, just the memes.

Tuesday Too:

1.) I know we've been here before, but perhaps you got a different one now. What's your "must see" movie, and why should I see it? For today, I'm suggesting Angels In The Outfield - the 1994 version. It's a nice little movie. Could you believe that the Angels started the year off 6-14, won 99 only to get the wild card in the AL and are now in the World Series? The Angels finally win the pennant!

2.) What have you been procrastinating on, that you've just got to do, or finish up? Sending out resumés. I don't know how Snelling will work but I've been looking for jobs in other places, too.

3.) Are you wondering, what in the world is happening? Are you afraid to pump gas? Do you think the US media has focused too much on the Maryland sniper? Why, or why not? Let's face it, the sniper is a bad nightmare. It makes you want to not go to the Greater Washington D.C. area at the moment. And if you go, be sure to take the kevlar helmets and vest with you. I'm scared for those in the sniper region. That Bali explosion ticked me off. Why do these Muslim extremist hate Westerners so much? Are they that jealous of the running water Westerns have? Why I keep running to that point, I don't know. But I want to know what do they exactly want!

This-or-That Tuesday:

1. DisneyLand or DisneyWorld? Disney World is closer to me. Now only to have the money to spent a week there!

2. Amusement park or Themed park? Amusement park. I love rides and the like. *Smile* You can add anything you want there. Themed parks can only go so far, I guess.

3. Seashore or Mountains? I live by the seashore. Actually, it's about 20 miles from my home to the beach. I grew up in the hills but I'm scared by them now.

4. Hotel/Motel or rental house? Hotels. However, last year Nicki and I stayed at a suite resort in Orlando. It was small but it had two rooms and an area to cook your own meals. It also had housekeeping. *Smile*

5. Guided tour or aimless meandering? Guided tour. I want to know and find what I came to see! *Smile* Usually in my family we hardly meander. I read the map and take us to the place exactly.

6. Drive or Fly or Boat? Drive. I've done all three but I feel safest on the ground.

7. Close or far away from home? Far away, please! *Smile*

8. Daytrip or by the week? By the week. It's fun to get out of the house longer than a few hours.

9. Camping in a tent or the Holiday Inn? It depends. I prefer the Holiday Inn but I did like camping as a Girl Scout.

10. Rent a car or drive your own? Drive my own. I hate mileage restrictions.

Comments

1. Disneyworld. Although, hopefully when I make it to the World Champs in 2003 and a reporter asks me what I'm going to do next, I'll exclaim, "Je vais a Disneyland!!" (Paris, that is!)

2. Depends on the theme, I guess. Does Marine World count? I love killer whales.

3. Gonna be obnoxious and say neither. Hmm, live where land might sink or where a house could topple off an eroding mountain? What'll it be? What'll it be?!

4. I prefer a hotel though you won't catch me staying at a Hilton(unless it's out of my control). Cannot stand the Hilton sisters!!

5. Tours are only fun when I'm the guide.

6. Bike. lol. Seriously, almost anywhere I go I bike. My best friend laughs and invites me to try to bike all the way to Sacramento(122 miles, btw!). I might take him up on that. I have legs of steel for all that bikin'.

7. Faaaaaaaaaaaaar away. I had more fun with my mom and brother when they took turns visiting me in my territory. I got to play tour guide(see question 5)...hee hee...and that's always fun.

8. Daytrips were fun in the Minneapolis vicinity. There was sooooo much more to do and see there and I could always make a day of it. Daytrips felt like taking mini-vacations all the time.

9. Camping but only if it's with my best friend. I'd go with him and try my best not to whine. Otherwise, I prefer a real high-class hotel, like Crowne Plaza or Four Seasons rather than Holiday Inn.

10. Drive my own...well, once I get past these stupid panic attacks in the driver's seat. Isn't the insurance on rental cars incredibly high? Like Shawn, I'd hate to have mileage restrictions.

I've never stayed at a Hilton, just dined at one. And the restaurant was sooo good.
