The Braves 6/7/8 guys destroyed the Giants last night. It was all thanks to those three guys. ![]()
This little message is for Tamm and Stasha. That injury to Scott Rolen was not a good thing. Nicki and I feel for Cardinals/Rolen fans.
I wish the media would quit bashing and destroying the Braves, Angels, and even the A's because they all lost the first game in a best of five series. They've all won the second game, making it 2 out of 3 series.
to the sports media "know-it-alls."
From baseball to shoes. It's "Friday Five" time. ![]()
1. What size shoe do you wear? 7W or in case of 7W not being available, 7½. Most Richard Marx fans would love to have a size 7 foot.
2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? A few. I have my wear-them-until-they-fall-apart sneakers and I just got a pair of dress shoes last week. I have a few other pairs I've not worn floating in my closet.
3. What type of shoe do you prefer (boots, sneakers, pumps, etc.)? Sneakers or flat sandles.
4. Describe your favorite pair of shoes. Why are they your favorite? If a pair of shoes fit and I don't panic while wearing them, I'm cool with them.
5. What's the most you've spent on one pair of shoes? I don't know I think I charged about $27.00 on the dress shoes I got last week. I have never been a person that need $34.00 L.A. Gear shoes when I'm 8-years-old like some people I know. But, I do remember wearing Pumas as a child because they were the cheap shoe at the PX.

poor scotty... but well... can't really cry over someone who will be getting 90 million over 8 friggin seasons...
No, but it does suck to be out in the first post season you've had the chance to get to.

1. Running shoes: 9 1/2 Dress/casual: 9
2. I have 72 pairs, more than half of 'em are old running shoes(by old, meaning from Jan 2000) that are no longer good for running but feel fine for every day life.
3. As soon as I can no longer use a pair of running shoes for practice(because I've worn 'em out), they become great for just chillin' in. Old and dingy but very comfy.
4. You know the boots RM is wearing in that People article's picture? I have boots that look almost exactly alike. That is easily my favorite pair among all the shoes I have.
5. Let's just say in the $300-$350 range on a pair of gorgeous dressy sandal flats that will not go out of style. Why would anyone plunk down that much for a pair that won't be "in" by the following year?! Most of the rest of my shoes are around $100-$150.
Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at October 4, 2002 5:12 PMSHOES!! Now we're talking something I know! I have tons of shoes. I love shoes. I can honestly say I have 3 pairs of boots that are identical with the exception of the texture of the leather.. LMAO But at least I can say I have never spent over $70 for a pair of shoes(These were black leather boots that lace up.. awesome boots). Misbah... $350 for a pair of sandals?? That is just plain rediculous! What a waste of good money. Even $100 for a pair of shoes is way too much! Good Lord. What the hell do you need a pair of $350 shoes for? You just step on them anyway! Anyway.. Gotta love shoes... And WalMart is THE place for the best shoes at a GREAT price.. How about $7 for a nice pair of comfy sandals that are STILL "in" 2 years later? Uh huh... damn rich people anyway!
lol...trish! ;) yeah, my mom was pretty pissed about it too but then she saw 'em and wanted to borrow them. as for why the hell i need 'em. well i don't. i wanted 'em.
my running shoes cost about $90. Spikes for sprinting and spikes for javelin cost upwards of $90. Most of my other shoes under $70.
Posted by: misbah kyrene f. at October 5, 2002 1:25 AMwoah..see i've been out of it. very much so. i had no idea rolen was injured until this morning when i read it in the paper. and when did this happen? thursday? hockey has taken over my brain now. ;)
but i still have faith the cards will kick some d-back ass tonight. i have to retain that.
(oh my friend john who i used to work with, works at busch stadium on field crew. he knows all the cards players. i'm thinking "dude..give me the hookup! lol)
Posted by: S at October 5, 2002 11:13 AMI can't believe what a few question about shoes could do!
Rolen was injuried Thursday in, I think, the 7th inning of the game. Yep, it was the 7th. Alex Cintron ran into him. It was not a pretty sight! Good luck with the hookup!
