That or Cotton Candy!

I can't believe Majesty is one of the answers! *Laughing* Does anyone remember her in the cartoons? Because I sure can't!

We still have a lot of the Ponies from my childhood. Maybe I should make a list of all the ones I had/have as a child. *Smile*

i was lickety split from that personality quiz. lol...very true!

i remember my little ponies. and to answer your question, yes all the toys i had(that could and did fit in Kay Bee Toys) were for status only. i wasn't allowed to play, period. trust me, i'd much rather have not been able to have any toys at all than an entire toy store in my house and not be able to play with anything. Do you remember HuggaBunch dolls? I have a picture of me as a kid holding that...but not smiling because it was JUST for a picture. It was mine but I wasn't allowed to play with it.

That sucks you never got to play with your toys. Was it your father that felt they were status symbols? I'm sorry but something's not right with a person if that's all toys are meant for in their eyes. Where's the fun in childhood?

You should get some Ponies at a flew market or other second hand store and just play with them. "It's never too late for a happy childhood." - Gloria Steinem

lol...i'd feel a tad self-conscious playing with toys now. Yeah, it was my father. well, when my elementary school told my parents i was gifted and should either enroll in a gifted program or skip elementary and middle school altogether, they fought. my father wanted me to attend high school right away(at age 6!!!) and my mom said hell no, she wanted me to have as normal a childhood as possible(which i laugh at because mine was anything but normal). My father decided i wasn't allowed to play anymore at all, with anything or with anyone. it was study, study, study all the freakin time. but since he had dinner parties with his fellow PhD friends or former Motorola colleagues, the toys were there to throw people off so they wouldn't know what really went on in that house. only then would he be very nice to me and encourage me to draw or play with toys.

i'm 25 years old and i still play with Legos. at least until Nick or Annie come and knock over whatever i'm building! they think it's a game. knock over mom's Lego world

Legos are cool. I think that was wrong that you weren't allowed to play wiht toys. Toys are very much needed in childhood. Kids learn using the toys. Think of all those kids that became engineers from all the Lego love they had. Playing with the Ponies develop skills to creat stories and other ideas on the spot.

I still say get a Pony.

nah, i think i've outgrown ponies. lol
however...is it scary that all 25 of my porcelain dolls have names and i believe, very distinct personalities? not plural in any single doll...can you imagine? MPD...multiple personality dolls...lol...seriously though, i gave 'em all names. i don't have tea parties with them or anything but i talk to them sometimes. lol

(okay, i actually admitted this in a high-traffic area)
