for the better, I hope. I finally got to pay the doctor bills I needed to pay. Also, my parents got the loan to fix up the bathroom in the house and also took my car to the shop to get fixed. My mother said it should be ready by today. ![]()
Having my car to do what I need without stressing out if I'll get home in time for someone else is the first step I needed. Actually, I wanted to have access to my mother's car one day when I'm not in class so I can try to get a job. I just didn't want to be pressed for time for Nicki to get to work and Matthew and Beth needing a ride after school while I out to do it. I don't see what was so hard in trying to answer my request. After all, how did anyone expect to to get back onto my feet when I was never given a chance in the first place? Now that my car will be working, now I have that chance.
I'm not saying I'm going to get a job off the bat. But I need to a job to get out of debt and maybe get the money to take more classes at school. I need a job to start turning my world around.
Well, enough about my sad, depressing life at the moment.
It's official: Sand Gnats welcome new affiliation with Expos. The Expos are moving the Low Class-A team from Clinton, IA to Savannah, GA. They might even bring the real Expos to play a game here. I will have to go if that's the case.
Funny thing about Clinton, IA. One of my Ft. Bragg friends, Becky Bird (on the extreme left of photo) was originally from there. After her stepfather got out of the Army, they went back to Clinton. Last I ever heard about her family, he sister Kitty had a baby and her mother divorced her stepfather.
Since the Tuesday Too and This-or-That Tuesday are up, I guess I should do them now while I'm on.
1.) In this fast paced world we live in, is stress keeping you from realizing your full potential? Good God!, who wrote that? It sounds like an advertisement for a weekend workshop on inner peace. Oh yes!
2.) Due to the nature of question number one, it is suggested that you answer it anyway you can, and then leave your own question for the next person, or persons to answer in the comment. On the other hand, you could just hit the back button. Question for number two: Mario, Mega Man, or your video game character of choice?
3.) What's really on your mind? See above.
Intermission Time!
1. "Gone With The Wind" or "The Wizard of Oz"? "The Wizard of Oz" since I'm not too into the Civil War era.
2. "Toy Story" or "Shrek"? "Shrek" was a better film for someone my age.
3. "Saturday Night Fever" or "Grease"? "Grease" is the one I'll take/
4. "Casablanca" or "Citizen Kane"? I haven't seen either on of these yet.
5. "When Harry Met Sally" or "You've Got Mail"? "A hot dog is singing. You need quiet while a hot dog is singing?!?" - "Frank Navasky" - You've Got Mail
6. "Forrest Gump" or "Titanic"? I can't choose on either of these but I'll go with the Gump since I've seen that on more.
7. "Pretty Woman" or "Working Girl"? "Pretty Woman."
8. "The First Wives Club" or "Thelma & Louise"? I haven't seen either of these yet.
9. "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" or "James & the Giant Peach"? Willy Wonka since I can not stand Tim Burton!
10. "Legally Blonde" or "Bridget Jones' Diary"? "Legally Blonde" I still can't see how the whole theater did not see liposuction coming.

Glad to hear about your car getting fixed. Being without wheels SUCKS!! When the transmission was bad on the truck we couldn't drive it more then maybe 2-3 miles so it mainly sat in the drive.. I about went crazy... LOL Good luck on the job. My search continues...

Ms. Pacman's cool, JF. I used to play that all the time. I'd get so deep into that game that I'd be praying to die so I couldn't be called a quitter!
