Monday Mission

1. Do you have a favorite piece of poetry or prose written by someone else? Care to share it? Not really, I hate to say. *Sigh*

2. In High School, did you enjoy creative writing? Do you currently do any other writing in addition to your Blog? Creative writing, what's that! :rolls eyes: At Jenkins, you were just told to read and write essays. And if you essays didn't mesh with the opinion of the teacher, screw you! Actually my 9th and 11th teachers were ok. The problem I'm explaining was with the teacher I had in 10th and half of 12th. Stupid bitch. But for the most part, creative writing wasn't really a point that was presented to the student at my school. Thankfully, Albritton and Irwin did so I did some creative writing in middle and junior high school.

3. Have you ever noticed that the Blog entries you least expect to get the most comments do, and those you expect to generate a lot of feedback don't? Which Blog entry of yours surprised you by getting a lot of comments? Which one did you think would generate a lot but didn't? My entries that I didn't expect a lot of feedback on are Soul Patches and I Think I'm Going To A Sand Gnats Game. Call me crazy but I was hoping to get feedback on my post on Welcome To How To Get A Boyfriend IA! syllabus. I thought it was funny! And maybe some people would have agreed with me on my rant about Geo¢itie$ but I only got one reply on it.

4. Sometimes you get a chance to make a lifestyle change that has a huge impact on the course your life takes. That is, a moment where something became very clear to you, and that realization changed your life, such as: the need to leave a relationship, to stop an addiction, to bond with someone, to start a new career, and so on. Have you ever had an "awakening" moment in your life? With college, yes. I realized going to college is the only way I can get the skills need so I can get out of this hole they call Savannah. A college education is the only way I'm ever going to make enough money to move out of my parents' home. My mom joked with me last week the only way I can drop out of school is to pass the course I blew the first time. Why I blew them is another story all together.

5. Then there are other times where you can have a huge impact on someone else's life. You suggest they see a doctor, stop them from taking that last drink, or maybe just say some kind words at the moment. Have you made a lasting positive impact on the life of someone else? If I have, I don't know it. And that's the truth. Most of the time, I feel as if no one really needs me and that I don't make a lasting positive impact on people. I'm just another face in the crowd. *Sigh*

6. Are there any charities or organizations which you support? How did you come to be involved with them? The last thing I did for any charities is I gave $20.00 to the Red Cross after 9/11. For those charities, like the Shriners, that collect funds at stop lights, I'll give them change if I have it to spare. Matthew and Beth have to do community service for school. Matthew usually does his work at the Oatland Island Education Center here in town. Beth will probably join him and Nicki likes to work there when she can. She may have to cut her time now she has a job. Just the other day my mother told me I should see about something in Scouting. But Scouting in Savannah left such a bitter taste in my mouth. I was thisclose to my Silver award but then I couldn't get in a troop that wanted me or actually did stuff so I floundered out it. At least I did Scouting for 10 years and have that 10 year pin.

7. Care to collaborate with me? Help me out and write the rest of this poem:

I drifted though a dream last night,
visions full of colors bright.
My thoughts began to drift to you,
and in an instant we were two.

I touched your hand,
We began to blend,
Filled with a feeling
that should have no end.

But then I began to hug
You shot me a dirty old mug
I felt as if I did something wrong.
You quit talking to me all night long.

Why do I want you?
Why when you treat me like a fool?
It was my heart giving me a wake up call
Telling me for you not to fall.

BONUS: Hey cutie, what's up with this attitude? *Crying*
