Tuesday Memes & T
September 10, 2002

Christopher was sitting on my lap. He's such a sweet kitty. I'm sitting here just bumming around listening to my theme album, Room For Squares.

Trish is deciding on whether or not to put her daughter in Daisies. I loved Girl Scouts. I talk about it a bit in one post back in March. My days as a scout in Augusta and Ft. Bragg were the best. Pat, Shirley, Nancy, Arlene, (and my mother!) spoiled me in that they were such great leaders and personal friends of my mother. I scanned the left and right sides of the front of my Junior vest for old times sake. I had some more badges inside my vest since I earned so many. Juniors has to be the best scout level there is! We had Round-Up, Junior Jamboree, cookie booth sales, Discovery Place Camp-in, Carowinds trips, Olympic Day, and International Fair Day. We could have fun without being too young or too old. That's not to say I didn't have fun in Brownies or Cadettes, I did! But when I remember Girl Scouting, I'll leap to the Junior memories, first.

That's one thing if I do ever have a daughter, I want her to be a scout. And if I ever do move from Savannah, at least her grandparents live in Savannah so I can always take her to the Juliette Gordon Birthplace.

Speaking of which, I wonder if they are hiring. *Laughing* I wouldn't mind getting a job there.

Now For The Memes:

Tuesday Too

1.) Today in Maryland, and in 11 other states in this country we are having primary elections. Do you participate in the election process at the local level? Do you feel your vote counts? Did your feelings on this change after the last US presidential election? I try to vote if I remember to do it. The bad thing about it here, if you vote, you could be called up for jury duty. I'll do if I have to, but I rather not do it. Wasn't the 2000 a hoot simply for the SNL skits it inspired!

2.) On the eve of September 11th, is the United States in danger of losing her civil liberties? Is there some right you would refuse to give up even though it might present a security risk? Why is it so important? This is a tought question. Part of me is I "don't stomp on my rights!" and the other part is "the only ones that have to fear are those doing something illegal."

3.) Do you have a local issue you'd like to gripe/rant about? Go ahead spit it out? Where are the cops when there are others speeding around you and you AREN'T speeding? Just wondering.

This-or-That Tuesday

1. Paper or plastic? Plastic for my grocery bags. We use them as bathroom trashbags. Paper for purchases I make.

2. Stripes or plaid? Neither but if I need one, stripes, please. Preferably on a handsome man! *Kiss*

3. Baseball or football? BASEBALL! My favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, just clinched their 11th division title last night! *Smile*

4. TV or movies? TV. You can watch movies on it and when you're restless, you can get up without blocking 150 people's view.

5. Craig Kilborn or Conan O'Brien? Conan, usually. However, I did want to watch and missed the Kilborn with Zito on it.

6. Amazon or BN.com? Amazon! I've only used free GC's on BN.com

7. Yahoo or Google? Google, hands down. *Smile*

8. Star Trek or Star Wars? Star Trek only because I can grasp it better.

9. Cats or dogs? I'm a cat person.

10. Is that for here or to go? To go!

Trish, my first aid badge is on the left side of the vest. It's the red bordered badge under the badge with the books.
