Do me a favor and scan your computer for viruses NOW! Thanks to some people that come to my site (most likely people that come to my site for Yahoo skins), e-mails are being sent about claiming to be from me.
I DO NOT HAVE ANY VIRUSES ON MY COMPUTER! I have a anti-virus program on my computer. I'm picky about my e-mail and I don't use Outlook Express.
Yet, virus are being sent around the Internet using my e-mail addresses. I get them, other people get them. Yet, instead of scanning the full header of an e-mail, I'm getting complaints about the virus instigate e-mails. I just got this e-mail today:
I' m sorry don't know you please don't send me anymore emails .
thank you
I have found that the three biggest things sent in the full headers and the body of the e-mails are www.screensaverin.com, cruzinsuzi@hotmail.com, and ljspeaks@hotmail.com. I have set up filters on my e-mail to delete that junk. I get the viruses, too! I wish other people could grow a brain and do that, too. Or stop and read the damn FAQ.
These viruses are skimming through the address books and cache of the infected and unfortunately, they like to pick my addresses. I refuse to turn off my autoresponders because, for the mostpart, they are fullfilling a purpose I need. But I have added this to the end of my auto sent e-mails:
*** This is an automated message that replies only when e-mailed first. If you get this message in error, it was provoked by a virus. I can control my computer but I can't control the whole world! Sorry. ***
Yeah, I'm angry. 
And why shouldn't I be? I feel like I'm a hostage in a game being controled by a bunch of stupid idiots!

Someone that has the Kletz virus has swiped your email address and is using it to cover thier asses.
There is no way to get rid of it now. You are going to have to change email addresses.
It happened to my husband a few months ago, report the event to your provider to let them know what is going on, they will tell you to change your email address.

Posted by: Michelle at August 12, 2002 9:32 PMI know it's the Klez virus. I'm working on the change of addresses and suspending the e-mails accounts in question. This is just aggrevating! Sometimes I swear you need to pass an IQ test to use a computer.
James got hit with it several months ago.
Not the virus but the virus generated his email address and it appeared that he was the sender of the emails. Being the net guru he is he knew he did not have the virus.
I feel for you and hope that we get to the bottom of it soon.
