Ok, I'm a little miffed at the moment. So, I thought I'd write some hints and tips when it comes to messaging me on Yahoo! and AIM. By the way, this isn't really directed towards Babs.
I understand that scenerio. This is about random strangers messaging me.
- Read the profile! - I have a 'Yahoo! Profile'. It has the answers to the dreaded A/S/L question. I also have a for AIM
- Do not click the AIM guy unless you plan to speak to me. - I will get people messaging me first on AIM and then wonder why I messaged me. Um, I was just answering you because you message me first!
My AIM link on my site will message me with the phrase "Yoda!" Be prepared! - Don't start message with "Do I know you?" or "Why are you on my list?" - I didn't ask you to be on your list. You were the one that placed me on your list. Why should I have to explain why I'm on your list?

I so agree with that. My ICQ profile says "People asking questions that could have been answered by checking my info will more than likely be added to my ignore list." and trust me - on my bad days - it really happens!!!
What's worse is someone messaging you that you know and then they don't talk. Or every 10 minutes or so throw in a "K" or "LOL" for good measure... UG!
Maybe there should be the "Guide For IM" that comes with all these messengers.
Glad to see I'm not alone in with these pet peeves of IM.
