Participation Positives
August 5, 2002

I thought I'd do Participation Positives this week. Here I go:

  • my sanity's intact

  • my parents' have given me moral support in my time of discord

  • A/C in Savannah

  • family love & friends' love

  • My father being home

  • a chance to sleep in tomorrow

  • the fact I'm going back to school to further educate myself

Monday Mission:

1. Ever considered just deleting your Blog and not doing it anymore? What prompted that and what stopped you? Sure, when I get upset at people. Even today, I felt like stopping it. But then I stop and realize that I need to forget those that want to attack me and who I am. If they can't live with my faults, it's their problem, not my problem.

2. How about a quick review of the last movie you saw? Last movie I saw at the theater was The Rookie. It was a good movie. My mother yelled at me for not stopping at home and asking her to go. She wants it on DVD when it comes out.

3. What's your favorite gadget? Are you lusting for any new ones? Will you ever be satisified??? Satisfied? HA! I want a digital camera. I was going to New York next month and thought it would be good to have. Now that that trip isn't going to happen, the camera on hold. As for favorite gadget at the moment? Anthing in my room. *Smile*

4. Saturday night I played "UNO" for the first time in years, I mean it has been over 10 years since I played it. It was great fun, but it really made me want to learn how to play Backgammon again. What "table game" do you enjoy playing most with other people? Have you played it lately? I haven't play Skip-Bo in a while. It's a fun game. I have a deck around my room.

5. About a year ago I was obsessed with loosing weight, and I dropped pretty low before I got a handle on things (I've actually gained about 8 pounds of it back, and it is still a struggle sometimes to not try to loose it). Thankfully, I like fattening sweets and buttery popcorn too much to live like that for too long. Have you ever been obsessed with something so much that it was close to causing you physical or mental harm? If not, have you known anyone else who has? Just the stress of money! Then again, money will always stress people out.

6. Did you grow up in a family or community that displayed racist or prejudice attitudes? Did it influence you in any way, either toward or away from those views? How did you manage to avoid it, or did you? This is a difficult question! I live in the Land Of Dixie. I was always come into contact with racist and prejudice attitudes. I have just learned to let those people vent and press the IGNORE button on them.

7. Good grief, I am starving! You got anything to eat around here? I wish! I had Pizza Hut for lunch. Sorry, nothing's here!

BONUS: What did you tell them? What did you tell them?

Thanks. I still have a bit to add/change to the site. Just the "tweaking" left to do!

I hope to complete that by tomorrow.

So your saying that your sanity being intact is a GOOD thing? Drats.. I knew I had it backwards... Now you knew that was coming...
